The most expensive local hardware shop I have ever shopped from. His prices will stop your heart. Bought a tiny Tube of bubble wrap and normal sellotape (not even a top range one) and it cost £8. Normally this would cost me 3 or 4 pounds. I will not be shopping here any more.

This store doesn't even respect its already limited (11am to 6pm) opening hours.
I went there today to pick up a UPS delivery, only to find it shut at 5:45pm

Very rude owner, dusty stock that's over priced!
Id rather visit a proper DIY store with better customer service! Don't bother.. experience is unpleasant!!

The RUDEST customer service I have EVER encountered. Couldn't help me with a simple question and shouted down the phone at me and hung up on me. Asked me if I could understand English in an extremely condescending way. Please do not give these people business, this kind of communication should not be tolerated.

Avoid at all costs! Got ripped off for a mop and bucket and surface cleaner. I was told it was £24 and got charged £34. Customer service was completely unhelpful when I tried to go back to challenge.

I’m disabled and needed some floor cleaner - it’s £2 in the supermarket - but I’m in a lot of pain so despite knowing Treohans is always a bit more expensive, I went in because I can’t walk further. However, when I took the bottle of cleaning liquid off the shelf and asked the price (there are no stickers or shelf information) the owner literally made up a price of £7.99! How can he justify a penny shy of £8 for basic floor cleaner?! I was embarrassed and said I couldn’t afford it but he became annoyed and said he’d already “processed the payment” by which he meant he had put £7.99 into the card machine. I repeated that I couldn’t afford it so he then started to barter with me by saying he could offer “better price for cash”… Honestly, I didn’t know what to do and, due to my condition, I can’t make decisions when (dis)stressed so I just tapped my card on his card payment machine after which he started going on about giving me a “free 10p carrier bag” because he could see I was a bit p’d off… I’ll never go in this rip-off store ever again. Ugh.

The attitude to cash only, tinkers on suspicion, the prices are rather high. My assessment would be that it is places like this which are the catalyst for the demise of the local friendly corner shop, in replace of the giant supermarkets instead. There is no understanding that it gives value for money, though it does provide you with items that save you tracking to Clapham High Street. Thank God for Amazon! 😅
