Friendly staff with a store stocked with most hardware you could need at a reasonable price.
Today I went there for some road salt for the pavements near where I live and he had loads of bags that had started to deteriorate due to the sun and offered me as much as I wanted for free, all I had to do was shovel it out of the bags into some reusable shopping bags.

Good little Proper hardware store for when you cant face Hige DIY shops. Friendly staff with a good range of products.
