Handymans Hardware

Huge amount of stuff crammed into a small place. I try very hard to buy from the smaller local shops but today having stood in a queue for 5 mins waiting for the shop assistant to finish helping a man with his gas regulator he turned to serve a man who had come in moments earlier because 'he only had 1 item and was in a rush' . I was in a rush too so I took my business elsewhere. Shame. Lakers were more that happy to serve me even though I am a woman!!

I have been popping in here for years.
I have never left the shop without the very thing I went in there for,.
This has ranged from; perfect sized lengths of timber, just the right adhesive, THE tool I needed, paint in the colour I am running out of, a small spring to fix an Edwardian door handle and even the only Father Christmas shaped pastry cutter in the village (a must-have at the time or Christmas was in danger of being cancelled).
Always found a cheerful, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable staff member to point me in the right direction and the prices are competitive.
Add to all of that not one member of staff in orange dungarees and it is the perfect local business.
