An interesting old fashioned ironmonger, so much better than the modern do-it-yourself bubble wrap stores. Ask for the most unusual nuts bolts and washers and they'll probably have the very item, sold loose. And where else may you ask for a gas mantle for a Tilley lamp, and not have a little teenage girl look at you as if you have just landed from the last century. Perhaps you have, but they have the spares for your equipment.

I went into this shop on the 6th of August to buy items for my 90 year old mother's garden gate, I was greeted by a unfriendly and cold man who was serving me. I spent over £120.00, I later realised I bought the wrong item when I came back to ask for a exchange and my money back he said no not my problem in a very aggressive manner, when I tried to explain how unfriendly and rude he was he started swearing at me in a very aggressive manner and told me to f... K get out of my shop

I am a black British man born and brought up in Rugby I have never experience anything like this at a retailer before. Any non white person needs to be aware of this establishment

Proper local hardware store, selling good quality tools and fixtures. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Well worth trying these guys before heading to Wickes or Homebase.

Great hardware shop selling an amazing range of hardware and wood treatment. Also good dry timber, wood cutting service, plywood and perspex cut to size. You want seven no.10 screws, 5 angle brackets, 3 10mm steel expanding wall fixings, 15 8mm nuts,, bolts and washers? Any number you like - can't do that in Homebase!

Been to Coxs for the first time. I managed to find exactly what I was looking for (this is after trying Homebase, Wicked and B&Q).

The service was excellent.

I would highly recommend you give this place a visit - it beats walking around the bigger hardware stores searching endlessly.

Stores mostly empty what’s in if it’s oil or paint seems to be out of date and other items are hugely overpriced tried talking to the owner who sortve growled at me hard to explain but would definitely steer clear

The man who owns this shop is the rudest person I have ever had to deal with. Gave me false information on the products I require and then refused to give a refund once I returned explaining the issue!
I would much prefer to buy from a local supplier but with customer service as poor as this id rather go Homebase.
I will not be returning and I’ll make sure anyone I know will not be using there terrible service.
