Ironmongers

Lovely little store with a friendly worker.
Business was booming throughout the lockdowns as this seemed to be the only place allowed open, queues were huge outside with everyone at home spending there time carrying out DIY.
Anyway he sorted me out a little mouse trap.
Unfortunately the mouse managed to avoid the trap and eat the bait but I got the better of him by blocking him in leading him to a long painful death rather than a quick snapping of the neck with the trap.

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff and if you ask for something and they have not got it in stock they can usually order it for you.

Family run, helpful people. If you need a nut or bolt....they got it! It's like a treasure trove inside. Oldest family run shop in Rhondda.

Real olde worldy iron mongers, has everything you need and prices are reasonable.

Nice hardwear shop, if u need it they probably have it. Was a lifesaver when we was working near by. Other shops are 20 mins away

This is a time capsule. The shop has been an ironmongers/hardware store since 1898 and has been in the same family all that time. They even weigh nails and screws like sweets with the original scales. If you want to see Arkwright but a more friendlier version, then visit this place soon!!! It's my favourite place for hardware and DIY advice. Well done T Jones & son!
