David came out late (6:30pm) to fix a problem of no hot water, played about with a valve on the boiler claiming it was faulty but had provided a ‘short term’ fix as I have a young child, said he would return to make a more permanent fix if my usual plumber wasn’t available, left very quickly after taking a large payment off me. I Phoned about an hour later as the water was still not hot, said he would return the following day to have a look, then cancelled in the afternoon as he had ‘plans’ and would not provide a refund or he could possibly come out at 10:30 and charge me again, when I asked for my money back he blocked my number and won’t return any call or messages. Just had a separate plumber come out and diagnose the problem which was a completely different valve to the one David had stated was faulty - the one he was playing around with was for the radiators! Now been provided an actual short term fix and returning later this week to fully fix it, I would avoid at all costs unless you want to be robbed blind and left without hot water. Not even sure he knew what he was doing until he got his card machine out. Disgusting.

Highly recommended!

Came out promptly in the evening, and fixed the problem efficiently and to a high standard.

Very reasonably priced too and polite and friendly service.

Will be recommending to my friends and family and will definitely use again.

Asked to fix/replace a simple flush button on a toilet. I had previously seen the issue but had no time to buy the part and fit. Called this guy to sort the job, however he super glued the broken plastic part back together, which caused the flush to stick! He said the job was done and charged nearly £100. I tried the flush which exploded into many pieces. He claimed he had replaced parts which was not true and treatened to come back to property to remove "his parts" if I didn't pay the full amount, I had to call to police after multiple treats. avoid like Covid. bad news

My SO had issues with her heating back in Feb, she had a Dave come round three times, the first time he told her it was just a switch on the immersion heater that needed pressing and had charged a £54 call out fee. The water then went again and he came out and fitted a new thermostat and charged her another £54, three days later the heat went again this time he came out and said that the whole thing needed replacing he charged £1444 and the invoice say this was for a new thermostat, hot water cylinder and connections.

fast forward to last, on previous occasions I was not here, the hot water has gone again, the breaker switch on the fuse box had tripped, when I flipped it back there was a chemical burning smell coming from the cupboard where the water tank is.
Flipped the power back off and called out the plumber, after fiddling around with the boiler for a bit he said the problem was with the cut off switch to the boiler and said we needed an electrician. The electrician I called out checked the wiring and said there was nothing wrong with it and it was the immersion heater.

This evening I have had another look at the thermostat on top of the watertank, I can clearly see scotch marks on the underside of the aluminium cap that covers the thermostat, the wires connected to the thermostat have melted and melted part of the thermostat, I know the plumber took this cap off and cannot understand how he could have missed this, the electrician who came round said this is likely down to Dave not wiring in the thermostat properly and that a loose connection is likely what caused the wire to fail.

He has a duty of care to repair the work but is saying he cannot fit the new one till the wires are replaced, this is a small section of wire between a junction and the thermostat, I have questioned why Dave is unable to do this and he stopped answering calls and texts.

Dave charged me £369.60 for turning a tap which took him 5 seconds. I was sobbing when he put the card machine in my hand and told me I have no option. After a week of lies between him and Brian they gave me a partial refund. Don't know how they sleep at night. I reported them to BBC Watchdog, am looking into their companies and will report him to the regulatory body.

Most unprofessional trades man. Drives works van through Exeter and nearly knocks one cyclist off bike, then clips the second cyclist and then provides abuse and drives off.

Would not use this tradesman as if he gives no respect to his brand on the roads imagine the work he is going to put out.
