A true experience.

As a fairly new resident of London and a big fan of anything high-up/with a view, this was thoroughly enjoyable.

I imagine it might be slightly different if you were of a nervous disposition, but our whole group loved the 20 minute tour down to the o2 and back again.

If you have £200 to spare, or get lucky enough to win a tour in a competition, don't think twice.

We have been delayed for our tour waiting for two passengers that should be arrived half hour before tour instead they came after the tome scheduled for the tour the team made us to wait and gave them the front seats !!!!
A couple before us allowed to have photos front of the helicopter (took by one of the team of them) and we were not allow to have (for security reasons)!!!!!!
The captain of the helicopter does not know the sights most of the time did not hear him.
I regret the 400£ put on this very bad selective treatment service 😡

Had an excellent trip this afternoon, only downside is the time flies by so quickly, so much to see. A warm welcome when we arrived to check-in and, because we were early, we took advantage of a discount offered for refreshments at the Crown Plaza hotel next door (very enjoyable).
The flight itself was excellent, the pilot gave a thorough commentary of the sites, whilst also communicating with air traffic control which I found interesting.
If you are able to take advantage of this trip, I would highly recommend it, top notch :)

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! My wife and I take a heli tour every time we go abroad on holiday or on special occasions. From LA to Reykjavik to South Korea, we enjoy visiting different cities from above. This time we travelled from Scotland to London to stay at the Shangri-La hotel in the Shard to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my wife booked a surprise 18 minute flight to see our hotel from a different view. While the views were lovely the experience was bitterly disappointing. There was no experience!! - it felt as if we were getting a taxi. The pilot had no rapport with the passengers, didn’t engage with anyone and gave the impression he couldn’t really be bothered. And while I understand that his job is probably quite repetitive and he would rather not be working on a Saturday afternoon, it felt like we spent £440 for the experience of ‘inconveniencing’ the pilot!! When we spoke to the staff after the flight, the gentlemen in the office replied with ‘I don’t know what you want me to do’. No apology and certainly no empathy. He didn’t even have the decency to take my contact details to pass o to the manager who was unavailable. Total disappointment. Save yourself the hassle and get an open tour bus instead!

After following for years the endless five star reviews for this business, I dropped a birthday surprise on my wife in April. It was the most exciting and exhilarating experience imaginable. Totally professional set up from the booking process, through to the flight, backed up with perfect security procedures, a friendly professional team and of course an experienced and knowledgeable pilot.

As such I am somewhat cynical of the three scathing ‘one star reviews’ that have recently appeared here clearly trying to discredit this popular and successful company. This doesn’t add up. Are they connected? Maybe someone here attempting to compete in the same business? Or maybe the credit card bill has landed .... but to me there isn’t something quite right about these comments.

One reviewer was apparently expecting the smiles and frills of a steward from a Kuwaiti business class flight, not the service of a down to earth, safe, thorough, and qualified commercial helicopter pilot.
Another seemed bugged they didn’t get the front seats - well that’s a shame - we didn’t either.
The third seems upset that she can hear the choppers’ engines from her weekend retreat. Well, has she been there long? I guess not the amount of years the business has been flying. A bit of noise in London? Well, well... that’s a shock. Possibly a bit of steam let of there, as her Mon - Fri pad is on land marked for the new Heathrow runway?

I’d urge readers to check back the history of comments about The London Helicopter, and perhaps take the last three entries with a pinch of salt.

When I have another £400 to blow I’m off again!

Definitely one of MUST To Do activities in London. Just make sure the weather is as clear and nice.

It was an absolutely stunning experience in London. The customer service manager, Josh, replied to my thousands of questions before the flight in detail. Thanks. 10 min flight was pretty short but it was enough to see all the magnificent landmarks in London from the sky. The seat configuration of the aircraft was 2 rows x 4 cols but we were fully able to see outside without any inconvenience.

I often go down to Imperial Wharf.
Looking across the River Thames you see the helicopters expertly taking off and landing.
Soon am going to treat myself and my wife to a nice ride to see London from the vantage point of high up.
Apparently you need Photo ID such as a passport or drivers license or similar, this looks like one of those things you just have to do for the fun of it and really looking forward to it.
