My grandchildren have all addended this school and all have done well it boils fown to the fact that if a child dos not want to lern if you sent him or her to eton it would be the same it has a good reputation

I had been at parkside for 3 years and I found it ok yet a bit medeocre for options to do with computers and icy as I could not choose it with separate sciences which I wanted to do aswell as making me do humanities subjects however the humanities subjects are the highlight of the school don't send your children their if they want to do computers along with extended science

Parkside is a good place, but often the victims of bullying get punished, ignored or told off, and the bully gets ignored or just a little "stop.", I was bullied, and they kept annoying me, so I retalliated back with a slight kick, not even that hard, and the teacher told me off, and the other just got ignored... despite the fact she was infront of me, as though she jjust wanted to take action on me. Finally, a teacher threw a gluestick which hit my face, and left a bump for 3 days.

The school is alright but could use a lot of improvement. I'm now in Year 9 and people here are extremely obnoxious, along with some teachers. Many teachers and students are nice here. Some teachers provide support for me and will understand me. Others will completely abuse the school's systems. Many students will bully others and the other person is just expected to deal with it themselves, then when they do they are told off for bullying the other person. Most students however are nice. There are also a lot of nice teachers, but some teachers, not so much. Some teachers will tell you off for talking despite them saying talking is allowed, and even if you're miles ahead than other students. Some teachers will even abuse their power threatening to put on behaviour points (points which you want as little of) for the whole class, when it was something that one person did. However, most teachers will be honest, providing support. Some teachers will even forget to put on achievement points (points you want) yet will always remember behaviour points. The set system is also stupid, people being categorised into their own sets and failing even one important test could move you to bottom set, even if you were just having a bad day. Some teachers fail to engage in lessons, simply handing people work and giving them a couple of slides in explanation, not letting students participate in lessons, which is another way achievement points just become obscure. There are also assemblies saying how it's wrong to claim you're being bullied, they only count bullying if it's daily for an extended period of time (about a year). They expect you to deal with everything too. If you ask to move seats next lesson the teachers will often forget, then when you ask they will just generate a new seating plan on ClassCharts. They also hand worksheets out with multiple questions with little information provided and will tell them they have about 2-5 minutes, when most of the time it would take the teacher double the time to do it, and will even hand out tests and not help the students even if the teacher has never taught it, and the teacher makes the test themselves. Students are often put in the Bridge or Reflection Room for reasons as stupid as tapping someone to get their attention, because they have a "no touch policy" which outlines everything, even after covid has died down to its minimal level.

I recommend Parkside as it has mostly good teachers, as long as your child is willing to be bullied and put up with it, otherwise chances are your child will be punished for minimal reason.

Most teachers don’t care about the students and if you are being bullied in this school then the teachers think it’s ur own fault don’t go to this school if u don’t know some sort of combat
