There have been several claims for the longest sentence in the English language, usually with claims that revolve around the longest printed sentence. There is no absolute limit on the length of a written English sentence. A sentence can be made as long as time allows with concatenating (linking) clauses using grammatical conjunctions such as and. Sentences can also be extended indefinitely by the addition of modifiers and modifier clauses, such as:
The mouse that the cat that the dog chased ....[1]
or of successive extensions of the form
Someone thinks that someone thinks that someone thinks that...,[2]
The longest grammatically correct sentence is contained in Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner. The sentence is composed of 1,292 words (In the 1951 Random House version). Another sentence that is often claimed to be the longest sentence ever written is Molly Bloom's soliloquy in the James Joyce novel Ulysses, which contains a sentence of 4,391 words. However, this sentence is simply many sentences without punctuation. Jonathan Coe's The Rotters' Club appears to hold the record at 13,955 words. It was inspired by Bohumil Hrabal's Dancing Lessons for the Advanced in Age: a Czech language novel that consisted of one great sentence.[3]

The ability to embed structures within larger ones is called recursion.[4] This also highlights the difference between linguistic performance and linguistic competence, because the language can support more variation than can reasonably be created or recorded.[2] At least one linguistics textbook concludes that, in theory, "there is no longest English sentence".[5]

My daughter attended Avon Valley for Just 1 year. During this time, she had her belongings stolen, was bullied, and teachers even told her she should move schools! They were over the moon when they found out I was moving her as they didn’t want her there anyway! This has always been a corrupt school and always will be! The teachers are so incompetent and are not willing to help if you have a problem. In my opinion, this is the worst school in rugby!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY!!!

I used to attend here till 2017 and I actually hated it here. I was bullied the majority of my 5 years and then when I told a teacher they told me to grow up although there were some alright teachers like Mr Pearson and Mrs White. I also went to a teacher about homophobic insults and they did nothing. I don't reccomend this school. I would say RFSS and Bilton are the best schools in rugby.

I actually really liked it. Bullying happens no matter what school you go to. I can confirm it's definitely worse at RHS than Avon. Some people just like to have a moan.

Since i am a student in this school, it's an amazing high school because you get to explore and learn new things you never new! Clubs are for free too!

Its quite a good school Its got a lift for disabled people some kind teachers

Excellent school. My daughter was being bullied by a small number of her year the school stamped on it and they are keeping an eye on it. Now she is very happy there and has friends in all years.

Our drivers has been delivering books for children in this school. We have received accusations and threats towards our driver for being a different nationality, by a care tacker working there. In my opinion person like that should not be working with children, also I will be making sure formal complain is being raised with the school as its not acceptable.
