Alver Valley waking up from a miserable wet Winter and cloudy cold start to March. Lots of trees in blossom but still very few leaves. Lots of space to explore and easy access for prams, pushchairs and possibly robust wheelchairs along manmade paths. Good place for one to two hour stroll in shoes or trainers but probably need wellies after wet weather. Dogs can: get muddy and soaked, run off, get caught in brambles, and lost if they're the exploring trailing type and 'go deaf' periodically - so be warned. Good idea to keep them close at Apple Dumpling Bridge so they don't frighten wildlife or children. (The water was orange when we went??) Enjoy the outdoors but remember the Country Code so we're all kept safe 🤗

Great Park. If you drive you pay for parking till 6pm but its only like a pound an hour. The Park is well kept and it has enough to keep both big and small kids entertained

Great place, looked after (with the ocassional bin kicked in by the Gosport chavs, obviously) with lots of wild animals and beautiful forest and fields.

Alver Valley Footpath gets flooded in the wet seasons so be careful of flooding , always use your common sense .

A lovely bit of greenery, and a nice view of the surrounding area when you stand on the plateau.
