This stand-alone tower, marooned on a piazza exerts a forceful and defining presence in an anomalous setting lost in time and space.
A refurbished late Victorian water tower retaining water tanks ( 1887 ) located in the former Hither Green Fever Hospital compound, the focus and defining feature of the “Meridian South” precinct.
Several other period outbuildings survive in the immediate surroundings.
