Great for walking the dog and exploring nature with the kids. Wildlife is encouraged and the area is kept tidy and we'll maintained

Great place to walk the dogs off the lead. Very safe and bigger than I thought.

We visited Barnfield Sandbeds for the first time today - what a serendipitous find! Brewood is very lucky to have a place like this to walk, relax, and get involved with nature. The main entrance is at the end of Orams Lane. The site is lightly wooded with some green spaces and a small network of paths on various levels. The site was restored in 2010, and is now cared for by the Friends of Barnfield Sandbeds. The Friends arrange work parties for volunteers, to carry out tasks such as clearance and bulb planting. Local groups such as the Scouts and Duke of Edinburgh participants are often involved in these. The Sandbeds are enhanced by nest boxes, hedgehog hotels, a fabulous bug station by the entrance, and bat houses. The Friends also run events such as dawn chorus walks, pond dipping and nest box surveys. Exiting from the other end of the Sandbeds there are some lovely country walks with views across Staffordshire's green fields.

Not a very good place, nothing much to see as could be more pleasant for people but nothing amazing
