Clydach gorge offers an insight into some of the industrial heritage of Wales. Whilst this long gone the walks along the disused railway and tram routes are very pleasant. The gorge is full of autumn colour and there are small waterfalls. The road widening can ruin many of the views but hopefully when finished will not be so obvious.

Beautiful scenery, lovely views. Nicely maintained walking/cycle path (by Sustrans) through an area that's rich in industrial history

Could do with better sign posting for the walks. And the car park seems to be permanently closed

It was ok. Nothing breathtaking. There are better waterfalls when you drive into the mountains. Old Iron works was interesting.

Good walk here. I started from car park in Gilwern. First visited canal viaduct. Then went down to the Path alongside the river. Where you can find first Waterfall. In village Clydach you can see Ironworks. After that there is so called Lower Waterfall. You need to come back a little and go up to the tunnel. Can go in with the torch. After that u drop down to have look at Devil Waterfall. From this point I decided to come back VIA Blackrock village. Plan was to find Cave but unlucky.
Walk about 4 hours

Great place to escape to, peaceful, quiet, day and night. Well kept never any litter and no dog poo bonus! River Clydach runs down one side, love to watch water raging after the rains the bridge makes an excellent photo project, not allowed to sit under any bridge now no thanks to Abergavenny community and heddlu/Gwent police🤣
