A fascinating place with an accessible recreation to demonstrate it's construction and use. Marvellous to see the crystal clear waters of the lake. Plenty of parking spaces and lots of picnics areas so an ideal venue for a day out with the kids and family. A well equipped cafe with toilet facilities and shop selling Welsh souvenirs, fishing nets, drinks and ice creams are nearby

Nice reproduction of the only crannog in Wales (or England) on a beautiful lake. Great for a quick stop to take in the scenery and get your prehistory fix. Close to Defynnog where you can see the ancient yew and eat a tasty rarebit at the International Welsh Rarebit Center.

Brilliant place for hours of fun, with canoe or boat hire available, free parking and the Boathouse pub for refreshments. Picnics, paddling or hiking you can enjoy all here

A superb little place. Excellent place to spend couple of hours with your family, fetch a rowing boat or a pedalo and take a ride around stunning lake. Free car park, couple of cafes, campsite and ability to bring your own canoe or a dingy makes this an absolute gem of a place. You must visit it as you are going to Brecon Beacons.
