Wonderful bit of history. Informative plaques give you a brief bit of history about the place and the views from the top of the motte are astounding.

Beautiful quite place perfect for a walk with amazing views

Interesting little site, worth a visit, BUT currently the ( very small ) car park is inaccessible. However there is a layby on the A470, opposite the Canolfan Prysor Centre which has a public footpath that leads directly to the amphitheatre

We walked from Trawsfynnedd to Tomen y Mur, you can however drive very close on narrow metalled tracks. The site is well covered with information boards and the site is well maintained. There are no facilities at the site.

Place of former Roman fort. No parking spaces around though.

It's a Roman historical site, a little tiny bit difficult to access (really narrow single lane road and not much to park your car) but worth a visit. The view from the top of the mount is amazing. Oh and mind the sheep...

Lovely sunny day. Landscape, history, mountains, heaven. Perfect place to relax, take 8n the history, enjoy the landscape and watch lambs playing (it's late April)

Fantastic place in the middle of nowhere. The part of the wall is a reconstruction but it’s also used the original bricks. Nice view from the burial mound. Cool abandoned huts.
Driving up is a bit precarious, it’s a single lane road with tight bends so be careful of cars coming the other way.
