Great facility in the heart of Monmouth. Free entry to look around the courtroom, basement jail, and much more. Beautiful architecture. Interesting and informative for all ages.

Very interesting place so much to see old court rooms and cells.

Worth a visit, as if offers an interesting insight into social history

The staff were so friendly as we entered and made us feel welcome. The building itself is interesting and the court is set up so takes little imagination to see whar justice would have looked like in years gone by. The cells are worth looking at too. Interesting 70s display that was really well presented and reminded me I'm old enough to be a museum piece myself!

The court rooms were a brilliant visit as were the cells in the cellar. Seeped in history of the chartists march and trial.

Well worth a look if you're in town. Entry was free and the staff were very helpful. The stairs from the court room to the cells are a little steep but there is a lift available if needed.

The portico is sometimes used as a market place selling curios and craft goods. From soap to silverware.
