Call and book in advance for the Lancaster bomber VR 3d simulator.

Wonderful experience!

The museum is packed full of items and stories from the WW1 & WW2.

The tales of some local soldiers left me close to tears.

Beautifully displayed with respect and love. Offering a feast for the senses.

Beautiful cafe/coffee shop on site with a lovely outdoor seated area to dine in or out.

The Simulator was actually a prop in the Hollywood film Lancaster Skies!

There were two main themed areas homeland and military. The tour guides were friendly and helpful and happy to help with offering a tactile experience handling some guns/rifles.

Highly recommend!

Extremely well looked after and comprehensive museum. Staffed by brilliant and informative volunteers. Spread over three large and a couple of smaller buildings. It includes a replica Anderson shelter and a mobile police station. Excellent cafe.

Simply brilliant. Took dad for a Fathers Day treat. This place is a little gem. The VR flight simulator is excellent. The museum is full of interesting historical artefacts, the staff are, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Lovely cafe and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Give it a visit. You won't be disappointed 👍.

This was a really good experience, the volunteers were super knowledgeable, friendly and accomodating. Kids got dressed up in the uniforms.

Its open Friday, Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays, check ahead to confirm.

They also have an aircraft simulator so ring ahead to book.

Will definitely be back.

Well.....what can I say ?
On behalf of my husband, son & myself - what a fantastic place to visit & a whole experience for all age groups.
You can see and feel the pride that the owners and volunteers have in this museum. I only wish I lived nearer myself to help out too.
Congratulations to Paul & Linda for having the foresight to share their collection & some of us can reminisce about times gone by.
Please consider visiting this little gem in Freiston with all the family & I'm sure you will love it too.
With being fairly new, the exhibitions & facilities are absolutely spotless & a credit to everyone involved & don't forget to visit the cafe for drinks and homemade goodies, all reasonably priced & delicious.

What a fantastic place to visit, I cann't say how good it is, so much stuff there to see and the staff are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic that you can spend hours chatting and learning. Went with a friend who was going on the Lancaster simulator and again it exceeded all expectations, he said it was so real that he just lost himself in the experience as it was so realistic. If you are in the area then do make the effort to visit you will not be disappointed.

Great little museum, so much to see. very friendly staff who were interested in what you were viewing and even gave us a hands on with some old weaponry, it made the museum that much better. The Lancaster flight virtual reality system was an amazing experience a definite visit to this great museum wether you’re into ww2 or just on a day out with your family.
