Visited just before Christmas in 2019, when I spent my Christmas holiday in the area.
They have a normal size car park, but because of December, it wasn't too busy anyway. After the welcome kiosk I headed to the historic farmyard, where I spent a little time to walk around and learn about the old times. Then went to the house which was already decorated for Christmas, just like the small garden. I was more interested to walk in the garden and estate, because we had a nice weather, but after recent rain, some paths were closed due to flood. A member of staff helped me to find the stone single track bridge, which leads to the village, and I found that bridge very lovely. All in one I had a good day and enjoyed the weather and fresh air. It can be a nice day out for anyone, I bet it's amazing at spring and summertime.

I love all National Trust Properties, it's a great day out for couples and families, great Properties, lovely walks, playgrounds and great home cooked food. If you visit more than 4 times a year I'd definitely recommend becoming a NT member. We often visit just for a nice walk and tea and gorgeous cake!!!

.Easy place to reach, lots of signposts large free carpark.
.What a fantastic day out, visiting Shugborough mansion and gardens
Shugborough was handed over to national trust in 1966
We chose a Monday to visit, which was a good choice.
We went on a 30-40 minute tour of the grand mansion house, which was amazing, the rooms where spectacular, the guide we had was very knowledgeable, and told some very interesting stories.
After the tour, we had a snack and a coffee in the lovely little cafe.
Plenty of very clean toilets about, with soap and hand dryers.
A little area where you can purchase fresh garden vegetables for a donation .
Dogs are welcome in the gardens but must be kept on a lead.
Next we did the walk, it was a beautiful day, so we bought a guide book, and managed to find all the interesting monuments, lakes and trees, flowers gardens and vegetable gardens
In all we walked five mile..
What’s great day
Will do another national trust soon..

Not too busy when we went on a cloudy but warm day. Staff made us very welcome and were helpful. Some interesting exhibits to look at. Well stocked bookshop. The buugy was useful as the house is some distance from Reception. Plenty of car parking.

Another beautiful National Trust location. The gardens are vast and make an enjoyable walk. There's a café in the courtyard, however I didn't fancy waiting and it was very loud inside.

I would highly recommend this beautiful property if you would like to enjoy a long walk in the countryside with a beautiful view.

Lots of walking, huge landscape to Shugborough and a history well worth reading as you walk round the house. Shugborough delves into the origins of the family and brings you right up to 2005 with the last family occupant and access to his rooms. Quite a few pieces of architecture around the gardens add to the wonder of this place. Fully recommend a visit xx.

Great parkland, lots of varied landscapes and interesting follies and ancillary buildings. Imposing Hall. Interesting interior. Lovely gardens. Check prices, maybe a little pricey if not an NT member

Such a lovely place to walk around and soak up some history! With wildlife roaming the grounds. Such a beautiful and quite place. There really is so much to see, with a park for the kids to play and Percy The Park Keeps activities to keep the kids occupied on the walk!

There is also a gift shop with a very cute book shop too.

Places to go and grab a drink and also toilet facilities. Perfect afternoon out.
