Cotswold Lodge

This lovely space is an absolute gem, very stylish, very comfortable, excellent large shower with loads of hot water, well stocked little fridge with everything you need for breakfast... And the extra hot pastries and fresh fruit salads delivered each morning were a fantastic touch and very much appreciated! It was a perfect retreat for us attending a wedding in the village, and Hannah was so helpful with directions - had a lovely stay, gorgeous part of the country...

Hannah's place was so lovely, clean and cosy, and just a 10 minute walk away from Painswick village.

When we arrived, Hannah recommended some local places for dinner and places to visit. She brought up the freshest croissants and fruit for breakfast at a time that suited us.

We stayed with our 3 month old baby so it was really convenient to have a travel cot there already. Hannah had a changing mat, wipes and toys for us on arrival, which was such a lovely touch.

I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone who is visiting Painswick and would like somewhere local to stay. Great for couples with or without a child.

A great host and fantastic place - we hope to come back some time! Hannah’s created a stunning place, spacious, comfy and everything you could need for a relaxing country break. Just a short stroll from the centre of Painswick, the Cotswold Lodge made a great base for our 3 night stay. Hannah goes the extra mile for guests, and is a welcoming and friendly host - you can tell she and the family really love the area and all it has to offer. Communication was easy throughout, and Hannah had plenty of tips for things to do and places to eat in Painswick and beyond. Outdoorsy-types visiting the area will work up a good appetite, with plenty of nearby walks in the rolling countryside, or if you bring your bikes, as we did, by testing yourself on some of the steep surrounding hills. Make sure to leave at least an afternoon for the nearby Rococo gardens; which even (especially?) in the summer drizzle are a wonder and true delight.

What a fantastic weekend we had here, the lodge is beautiful and immaculate, you can tell they have not spared any expense! Hannah and her family were lovely and we would love to come back again in future. The lodge is in a great location, a short scenic walk to the beautiful village of Painswick and it's lovely restaurant! Be sure to check out the Farmers Market in Stroud on Saturday morning. The personalised card and touches upon arrival really made our stay feel special - thanks again

Painswick is a hidden gem in the beautiful Cotswolds, with some gorgeous local walks, and is the perfect location to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer. Cotswold Lodge is the ideal base from where to start; beautifully decorated, it perfectly blends modern functionality and old-fashioned Cotswolds charm. Hannah has put a great deal of thought into what her guests might want or need and nothing has been forgotten. We spent a long weekend there earlier in the Summer and I won't hesitate to book again the next time we visit the area. I can't recommend highly enough.

Hannah’s lodge is absolutely wonderful. She has literally thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible and give you that home from home feeling from the well equipped kitchen to the lovely arrival package she provided with fresh eggs from her Hen’s, pastries, juice, butter and milk. The lodge was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, we felt so relaxed during our entire stay. The location is great, the scenery immediately around the Lodge is beautiful, as is the short walk into the equally beautiful Painswick Village. Hannah was extremely responsive to my questions and was able to provide loads of recommendations of what to do while we were there. We loved it so much we recommended to friends who also stayed there and found it equally as wonderful as we did. We stayed in April 2021 and hope to be back again in 2022.

Gorgeous accommodation in a lovely location. A perfect place to stay for a couple or couple with children. The host appears to have thought of everything - making our stay extremely comfortable. In particular the kitchen is very well appointed, meaning it would be very easy to stay here for several weeks! The entire space is attractively furnished and super clean. A west-facing deck, overlooking the garden, was very welcome for early evening drinks watching the sun set. The host was very responsive to my questions and welcoming on arrival. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend.

WOW! We stayed here for a long weekend after our wedding. It was the perfect place to relax and recover. Everything you could ever want has been thought of in this beautiful cottage. Hannah truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. What a gorgeous place Painswick is too. We could not recommend the Cotswold Lodge enough.
