Our stay at this beautiful property (we were in Haretor) couldn't have gone much better thank the weather gods. The owner Katie was away whilst we were there but all the communications beforehand were so helpful and she was so friendly as were all the staff we encountered. I shall let the photos speak for themselves but the cottage is perfect, so many thoughtful touches, night lights, torches, belkin adapter, fans, treat or 2 waiting and in this weather glass bottles of water in the fridge were appreciated. Lovely little bench outside the door to sit on but there is also a large bench / bbq area just across the drive, which has stunning views across dartmoor. Directions given were easy to follow, the parking was easy, within 15 mins drive for a food shop, though we used Exeter on our way through. Lots of local pubs serving lovely food (our fav was Mary Tavy Inn) and dartmoor and lydford gorge on the doorstep, literally, so walkers heaven. We definitely want to visit again, it was pretty perfect.
