Lovely location and nicely furnished. Good WiFi. Main reason for not 5 star may seem unfair, but the upstairs floor was very creaky and it made it impossible to go for night time wee without waking others. Yes it is part if character. If you sleep deeper than us it won't be a problem!

Lovely place, terrible host. Walked in on me in the bedroom after a shower with what looked like a friend of his. There were biscuits under the bed, on the floor and elsewhere. No bin liners, no towels and a lack of communication. We paid £100 cleaning fee, tidied up after ourselves, hoovered, did all the dishes and took the bins out too and he still complained. Would not recommend this host unfortunately.

What a wonderful Cottage! The location and views are idyllic, we loved visiting Wast Water and Muncaster Castle. Lots of walks and pubs nearby too. The cottage was clean and cosy and has everything you need. Thank you so much for having us, we'll be back!

This was a really lovely cottage in a peaceful part of the Lake District. We had everything we needed and the information that Peter provided about the local area was informative and useful. We'd love to come back.
