We have had a lovely weekend here at Cadora Woods. We were very well looked after, the facilities were great, and they even offer cooked meals for when you've had a long journey and don't fancy cooking (which were delicious!) This is a beautiful part of the world and you really feel closer to nature with the wonderful sounds of chirping birds and the wind rustling in the trees. Absolutely wonderful!

We stayed in the Ash Tree yurt for two nights. Everything is clean and tidy, and the whole site and everything at your disposal is well thought-out (even down to kitchen utensils assigned to each accommodation unit). You don’t need to bring any of the typical needs as it’s all provided. Hot water is consistently hot. Solar-powered lights in the accommodation are strong. Sturdy wood/iron chairs and table are provided for sitting/dining outside your accommodation (though I’d recommend bringing cushions or soft camping chairs). We loved having an assigned toilet/shower room. Space between the units offers enough more than enough privacy and peace. The location is very tranquil, down a quiet country lane, with small birds darting over the long grass and the neighbouring sheep, with the occasional buzzard making itself known. At the very peak of a valley side, you have 360 degree views across rolling lands. Rather idyllic. Within a very short walk you can be in Cadora Woods, which is a lovely ancient woodland to take in. There’s a Lidl in the nearby town (Coleford) which offers everything you need for a short stay and BBQ. We’d definitely return to Cadora Woods Glamping.

We had a lovely time there, the facilities were great (BBQ, bathroom, towels, kitchen, etc...) and the the yurts very comfy and cosy with the wood burning fires. A great location for all sorts of activities (walking, paddling, gorge walking, abseiling, etc...).

A warm welcome from Gerry followed by a real rustic experience glamping with a long burner and a gorgeous sunset. Lots of space for family, children and pets and perfect for open bbq’s and catching up in the gorgeous countryside … would recommend again

We really enjoyed our few nights in a shepherds hut at Cadora Woods in August. We stayed for a few nights before Green Man and I wish we'd come back afterwards too. I slept better here than I ever do at home!

Big comfortable bed with nice cotton linen and warm duvet. Really appreciated the towels so we could keep ours clean for the festival. Excellent strong hot showers (always a big plus if you have longer hair) and spacious clean bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and each accommodation has a dedicated place corresponding to their hut/yurt (although the huts and yurts themselves would benefit from names on their doors as we got a bit mixed up at one point!)

Absolutely beautiful corner of the world. The walk down to the Boat Inn and back was well worth it.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The site was well setup and our Shepard’s Hut was so lovely and homely, and a lot roomier than we expected. The bed was so comfy we slept better than we have in forever and weren’t disturbed by any of the other guests using the site. Bathrooms were spotless and really pretty, the kitchen was full stocked with everything we needed. The area is so gorgeous and peaceful, quiet even on a bank holiday weekend. Gerry was a lovely host and very accommodating. We only wished we had longer here! Would absolutely recommend it

My partner and I stayed at Cadora Woods Saturday 21st-Monday 23rd August and had such a lovely few days. We stayed in The Queen of Hearts. I thought it was great we could book the Saturday to Monday as most campsites like you to stay Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. I also thought it was very reasonably priced, especially for peak summer holiday time. The area is nothing short of breath taking. We watched the sunset from our yurt which was so beautiful. The campsite is so quiet and very relaxing, a perfect get away retreat. The owners were away during our stay but their 'caretaker', Sarah, was absolutely fantastic! So attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She helped to make our stay even more relaxing. The site is well organised with colour-coded utensils and equipment in the communal kitchen area, separate shelf spaces in the fridge and kitchen and each yurt has its own bathroom, which felt like a real luxury! The bathroom was very clean and we had everything we needed in the yurt. Towels are provided (although we used our own), plus tea towels, wash clothes, washing up liquid, basic toiletries, toilet rolls and bed linen. The bed was so comfy too! There is an honesty shop so you can grab a snack upon arrival but it also stocks BBQ instant lighting coals and other items to help during your stay. Milk and cereals are provided free of charge for breakfast also, which is a nice touch. We went for a lovely meal on the Saturday evening at a local pub in Alvington, The Globe Inn, which we would highly recommend. We went for a long walk to the Boat Inn near Redwood on the Sunday which was great. The walk takes you all through the woods and there are fantastic views.
The whole site is very rustic and in keeping with the owners ethos of being environmentally aware and friendly. There is obviously no electricity or water in each yurt, which we were not at all bothered by, but it may put others off. The toilet block is also a short walk away from the yurt through the field, which again, may not suit everyone. It is definitely worth taking a torch too!!
My only suggestions for possible improvement would be some sort of parasol or structure that provides some outside shade. We were very lucky with the weather and wanted to sit outside as much as possible whilst at the yurt but needed some shade to do this comfortably. Also a clean wheelbarrow or some sort of trolley to help customers transfer their luggage from car to yurt would be helpful as you cannot park next to your accommodation to unload.
On the whole a no frills, friendly and relaxing site with everything you need in a beautiful area of the country. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

A stunning location with welcoming hosts and high quality, fun and interesting accommodation. We spend 3 days in the gorgeous countryside sleeping 2 nights at Cadora Woods. Worked well for the family as we booked the whole site and enjoyed all areas including rounders on the field and fantastic bbq dinner in the hanger.

I hadn't realised quite how beautiful the Wye valley was! Highly recommend a day trip down to the bathing area along the river ( 20mins drive) and less energetic wine & sunsets experience from your cast iron table and chairs right outside the cabin .

Thanks to Gerry and Abi for their hospitality.
