Llwyn Derw Holiday Cottage

Can't put into words how magical this place is. Would recommend to anyone. Linda (hostess) is lovely and we couldn't have asked for more.

Lovely cottage big enough for a family group of up to 10. All bedrooms are well-sized, each with a bathroom suite. Some rooms have the spectacular view of the ocean . The place has a very homely vibe and does give off the home away from home experience. The house is fully equipped including a bbq with all the tools needed to have a lovely family bbq during your stay. There's a selection of xbox games, board games, dvds, puzzles and books to keep you entertained. There's also a selection of leaflets for local attractions and things to do around the area. The home as well as surrounding gardens are well taken care of by the owner, Marian. She is a lovely host...very sweet, kind and thoughtful. We were welcomed with a freshly-baked welsh fruit cake and Marian regularly checked in with us to ensure we were comfortable and lacked nothing during our stay. Best bit is the benar beach about 20-25 mins walk from the property. A couple of restaurants and takeaways in the area too (I'd recommend Tony's pizza).

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Llwyn Derw. There were 9 of us in our party and we really enjoyed staying at this large house with so many facilities, a beautiful garden and situated in the perfect location for exploring this glorious part of West Wales. Days out locally included - paddleboarding in Barmouth harbour, a trip to Portmeirion Italianate village, the climb to Dinas Oleu above Barmouth for stunning views across the bay and also Mawddach estuary, walking at Coed y Brenin forest near Dolgellau, and wandering down the local lane to Benar beach to watch the sun set over the Llyn Peninsula. Just spent a great week with our family in this lovely house with sea view from the back garden. We were a party of 7 and the spacious accommodation met all our needs. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Ideally located for exploring the area and Bennar beach was so handy just round the corner and down the Lane,cobbles to start but then a vast expanse of beach to take you down to the sea. Barmouth is a busy town with a fabulous sandy beach. The whole family enjoyed our time at Llwyn Derw Holiday Cottage. Nothing was too much trouble for Marian the owner. Would certainly recommend

This house is simply beautiful. The rooms are really spacious, it has gorgeous gardens and is in a great location with a lovely little beach called Benar Beach.

Would HIGHLY recommend.

And not to mention the host, Marian, is very friendly and easily-contactable should you have any problems. It was really reassuring to know that she was just a phone call away and was happy to help with anything.

10 of us had a fantastic holiday in Marians beautiful home. There was nothing that we wanted for and the 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms were all amazing. This cottage is in a great location and close to local beaches. We will definitely be returning.
