Brilliant resort. Kids loved the free football and sports activities. The food is absolutely fantastic in the boat house. Swimming pool inside and outdoor one is very clean and warm. All staff are very polite and friendly. Will definitely recommend and come back in the future

Stayed at Haven Merton Mere mid week between 19th-23rd September 2022, it was my first time staying at a Haven park and before booking read lots of reviews on here some bad some good! Arrived for book in which was so easy, we booked a saver caravan, arrived at the pitch 51 Westminster which was really quiet the whole week which was what we were hoping for a nice quiet area, inside of the caravan was lovely, the cleaning of the caravan prior to our arrival was brilliant and so clean, the pool and lazy river were excellent! We walked around the mere and Stanley park which is a lovely walk right next to the site, good location to use as a base to go back and forth to Blackpool seafront, a few supermarkets nearby, I would not hesitate to stay here again, we had a great holiday, Andy

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

The caravans are lovely and snug. Perfect for little holiday away by the sea. The complex it's self for food and entertainment is fantastic. So many different activities on off and the staff have all been great. There's nothing I can fault. Highly reccomemded for people with or without children to come too.

I visited Marton Mere on 5/09/22 and spent four nights on this park as a four person group. I can say that I really, really enjoyed my time spent at this Haven park. We was met on the first day with a warm welcome at the entrance and was given the details of where we would need to go for our caravan, which was located at Lakemere view. This was a fantastic spot (we booked a silver caravan) with the Mere very close by for nice walks and the main complex being also very close. Now we did encounter a few problems of course but this is the reason I wanted to write this review. For all the little problems we had such as not having towels at first or missing utensils like forks etc. These problems were sorted quickly and without issue. I've read reviews of people mentioning similar problems and its left me thinking, did any of them simply ask at the reception to resolve these issues? I did exactly this and was met with very kind staff members who were eager to help with any issue we had. All the staff members I had met with on the park were brilliant and made this a relaxing experience for our holiday I cannot praise them more. The facilities on the park were great also, we had chance to have a morning swim during this holiday and it was great, especially the lazy river which I enjoyed many laps around. The showbar offered some fun entertainment this week with the highlight being a magician act which was really funny and the cocktails were reasonably priced here. Overall I've been visiting Martin Mere since I was a very young boy and I still enjoy visiting to this day, it's in fantastic distance from Blackpool and it's attractions, and offers a relaxing environment on the park itself, I can't wait to return here again.

This is our 3rd time here and it’s not been a great experience this time, our first time here wasn’t a good experience either, gave it a second chance and our second time was fine hence why we came back a third time.
Our beds were supposed to be made up with fresh linen on our arrival, but weren’t. We were told that they were having difficulties with the linen but we would have it by 8pm. It never arrived and after several calls to reception to be told on each occasion it was on its way! We finally got our linen next day after calling the reception twice again, we slept our first night on a bare mattress and stained pillows, the pillows were replaced next day too after a complaint. Our caravan although had been sealed wasn’t very clean. We had to clean it ourselves, not much we could do with the ground in stains on the carpets though.
We also paid £50 to select our caravan and we asked for a quiet area as my wife suffers from fibromyalgia and chronic pain, only to be put next to the family from hell. We’ve just been entertained by listening to them argue with one of the other residents about their antics, apparently they reported them but looks like nothing has been done. Was up at the main complex last night to go for a wee drink and play some of the fruit machines, only to be met with the local teens who ascended on the park to sit and drink and blare loud music. No security was present, so we just headed back to our caravan. We were due to checkout on Monday morning but will leave a day early now. Overall this visit hasn’t been a good experience and I doubt if we’ll be back to Marton Mere

Great weekend away with my 2 daughter's and 3 grandchildren. Stayed in a privately owned caravan which was brilliant, spacious and everything you would need. Plenty to do, kids loved the arcades and swimming pool. Granddaughter enjoyed the Splash Bowl once nanny had been on once with her 🫣.
Great food, choice of Burger King, on-site chippy and pub/restaurant, each one was sampled and enjoyed by all. Spacious Show Bar and great little shop. Lots of outside activities too. Staff helpful and polite, definitely on for a return trip next year

We have spent the last 7 days here for our wedding anniversary. Apart from the normal over pricing of drinks and the mini Market shop, the park has been quiet where we wanted it and noisy where we wanted it. All of the staff have been very helpful, understanding and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble. We was always within 5 miles of anything and the food in the restaurant was lovely. This is one caravan site I would come back too.

Our first visit to a Haven site and can say we’d definitely return.
We arrived on site at Martin Mere on 3rd October to find somebody was in our caravan! We went straight over to reception who walked to check it out as we were extremely close to the main building it turns out the family had simply made a mistake and quickly moved their belongings, we were offered vouchers to use in the bar while we waited on a reclean, can’t fault the reception team they were absolutely brilliant. Entertainment was brilliant and The Mad Hatters Tea Party was excellent, the food on site was all of an excellent quality. Our final day was the Friday, car was loaded and we were ready to leave except the car wouldn’t start, another trip to reception who put a call out to the maintenance team, 3 lovely gents arrived gave the battery a boost and we were away.
Thank you for a lovely holiday and we’re already looking at booking our next stay so for people who have never been you gave us a fantastic first holiday for our 2 year old!!
