Liked: Very close to train links to London, plenty to do and visit around and about. Site clean and quiet. Park on site and and small shop, there is also a supermarket just down the road. Shower and toilet facilties clean. We enjoyed it that much we stayed an extra night. Would definitely go back again.
Disliked: If I had to say something, maybe reflective lights on barriers that edge the piches. Cannot be seen very well in dark and my daughter fell over one.

We had a nice time but the site is in an industrial estate, under a flight path, near a busy road, with the smell of sewage greeting you throughout the day.
It was fine for two nights but we didn't get much sleep.
The safari tent was nice, the only issue was the zip on the main tent flap was broken, so it didn't shut, which meant on the first night my friend was freezing. The fact that they knew it was broken and still charged us £105 a night, is cheeky to say the least. They offered us a downgrade to a wigwam which wasn't suitable. We settled on some logs for the fire pit, blankets and an additional heater.
I wouldn't come back here. It didn't really feel like a camp site, more of a half-way house. Needs a lick of paint and modernisation.
Staff were very nice though. Can't fault them for that.

Lovely site, very friendly staff. 3 adults and one child stayed in a wigwam. It was clean and you had all the amenities you required. Hired fire pit and bought logs brilliant to making s’mores and relaxing in the evening. Communal toilets were kept clean, area to get drinking water from and lovely hot water and outside sinks to wash up dishes. Couldn’t fault it. Lovely little play area with sand pit for the kids. A nice river walk east access to towns and attractions nearby.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Field was desolate and in a business park. It was just like sitting in a car park. Hard standing Pitch was a strip of gravel only just big enough to get the Motorhome on. Shower block was filthy and full of spiders and cobwebs.
We had booked for 3 nights and paid in full in advance (£84.30) through Pitch Up website - We left immediately regrettably forfeiting our money but we just could not stay in such a dump. Not only is the campsite a shambles, the Pitch up website leaves a lot to be desired claiming twice that I still owed them payment after I had settled in full. Do not use this campsite as it is a rip-off. Furthermore this is the one and only time I will ever use Pitch-Up.

Liked: Clean and heated shower/toilet block. Very friendly staff. Perfect location for visiting into London via broxbourne Station. Also lovely walk along the canal. The Fish and Eels pub across the bridge is fantastic too.
Disliked: Not really the sites fault but the amount of Geese and consequent goose poo made it difficult for the kids to play without being covered in it.

Liked: Good location for walking and cycling along the canal. Toilets were clean and heated. Staff helpful.
Disliked: Site was covered in Canada geese poo, it was every where. Lots of geese on site. Not sure if there is much the site can do about this. Not sure if this is a constant issue on this site. None of the reviews for this site I saw mentioned this problem. Wouldn't want to return to this site if its going to be like this. Shame as good location.

Lovely well kept site, there isn't much to do on site (this is not a criticism as it does state this upon booking) . We are a family of 5 who have been here for a week, we have had a great time. Watching the kids run and play on the field and making friends has been lovely to watch. The accommodation (The Hamilton) was spotless, I've never given a review like this before as I'm a self confessed clean freak!
😬😬 not sure we cld class the shop as a shop! (Staff are lovely and helpful!)But not the end of the world as Sainsburys, Morrisons and Asda are a very short drive away or a £6 taxi! I've successfully connected to the WiFi once for 15 minutes throughout the week! But again not a criticism, I expected this(as its free and gets busy here!) and its been nice that the kids can't connected to it!😊. Definitely worth visit, we are sad to be leaving! Thank you for having us xx

Amenities brilliant Due to snow and ice and then rain the laundrette pipes froze. They were quickly fixed which was a godsend with 3 dogs in a caravan Very helpful and friendly staff. If you have dogs there are loads of good walks one leads to a lovely pub too.
