We stayed here as a family with our little one and our dog in January and we had the most wonderful time! It was such a peaceful place. The lodges are done up absolutely immaculately and are kept very clean - we couldn’t fault it at all. We would definitely return.

We have just returned from our stay at Wareham forest lodge and all in all, it’s a lovely place and we really enjoyed it.

It’s easy to access, with a very friendly welcome as you arrive, and parking directly outside your lodge.

Our lodge (43) was modern, comfortably furnished and tidy upon arrival, with clean cutlery, towels and even a small tea and coffee selection to welcome us. It had a bathroom and an en suite, 2 bedrooms
And a kitchen/dining area with small balcony. We were staying with a pet, so we were expecting our lodge to be a little less than satisfactory but to our surprise it was clean and tidy and well maintained.

The kitchen has most of the utensils you will need to cook and clean during your stay, although a few more baking trays would be appreciated, and the oven and cooker were excellent.

Entertainment wise every room had a tv with terrestrial which was nice to see and the TVs were modern and well kept. These lodges are very comfortable.

Cons:
In these temperatures, the lodges are very very hot! I think guests would benefit from some fans to keep the rooms cool. I’m glad we bought ours to keep the dog cool as some days the upvc construction of the lodge radiates heat, and you have to leave all the windows open otherwise it’s unbearable.

The carpets in our lodge need a deep clean as they were covered in pet hair. I was expecting some, but our lodge in particular really needs a proper hoover and even carpet scrape to remove it.

There were 2 distinct areas that needed decorating to cover up visible leaks/stains, 1 in the shower area and one near a radiator. As it was the start of the season, I wasn’t expecting to see signs of wear and tear, and while we could see through it and ignore it, the shower in particular looked really unsightly - and needs attention. The shower trays also need deep cleaning; Inbetween the screen rails were quite thick with limescale… Most guests would probably not be too happy with this, however I’m well travelled and don’t consider this to be the end of the world.

I really think they should develop a proper shop/bar for the site. While there are things near by to see and do and eat and drink, it would have been nice to have a central convenience of an evening to buy groceries or have a few drinks.

All in all, it’s a great place - ideally located and really comfortable to stay in. I would recommend taking a fan, some cool boxes and ice lollies for your arrival if the weather is hot, and making the most of the quiet location. I would defo stay here again

Thank you

Lodge was in a very good location on the retreat. It was clean, but could of been cleaner (dust was in a few areas by radiators). Plenty of cupboards in the kitchen and enough crockery for 6, in 4 bed lodge.
Enough wardrobe space in both the 2nd bedroom and the main bedroom. Only disappointment was the water pressure was low so we couldn't have two showers at the same time.
The hot tube was private and was in an ideal suntrap for the sunny evenings.
Would come again.

Stayed at Juniper lodge. Quiet, spacious, clean, very impressed, washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board, iron, hairdryer , ensuite with shower and separate bathroom. Would stay there again. Nearby to poole, swanage, Dorchester, New forest, sachets of coffee, tea and sugar provided and a nice little touch of a keepsake tin miniature key holder to take away. Would highly recommend a stay at this particular location.

Lovely places needs a little up date with regards to T.V not able to get Neflix or Disney etc handy when raining plus can't rescan to update freeview. Only half toaster was working but swapped straight away.
We couldn't find any mop or outside brush. Also no welcome pack with oven dishwasher Washing machine instruction would be handy.
I will say the maintenance men looking after the hot tub etc very polite and helpful.
Extremely handy to go out all round poole sandbanks brownsea island bournemouth.
Some great little walks on the door step Nisa in the holiday camp just 300yds away also Costa coffee in there. Clay pipe pub even closer but very busy book early.
Great pubs in Wareham Kings Arms great pub grub.
The blue pool great tearoom a very easy walk round.

Highly recommend a stay here, the lodges are very comfortable and clean. Also very warm on a cold day. Everything you need is in the lodge including washing up equipment. Easy to get to Wareham where there are excellent pubs and restaurants. If you like a walk and nature then visit to RSPB Arne nature reserve is must.
