Quiet clean site but far too windy area for us. Apparently its always windy here as everywhere is so flat and open. One of the fishing lakes is far too dangerous for the elderly or disabled persons. Precarious steps down to swims which are small and obviously old and needs replacing. They are also easy to slip on as they have a texture like a bit of fibreglass. The other lake is fine and well made and stocked well and as long as you like the wind it will be enjoyable to the fisherman. Unfortunately we won't visit again as husband is disabled and was not able to enjoy the fishing which is his passion. The best fish and chips in the village though, I have to say.

Reply to owner - Don't get me wrong as I have said nice quiet clean site and other lakes great. Its just due to my husbands specific problems it is too difficult for him. He did fish the Pool lake which was great. Speaking to many holiday makers they love your site and if it wasn't for husbands disabilities and health issues it would not be a problem. Happy camping to all.

Lovely site, very clean facilities. Nice cafe which served good food. Useful little shop. Peaceful and quiet most of the time. Only criticism is too many dogs and sometimes too much yapping from said dogs. Wish people would keep their dogs on short leads and not allow them to wander all over other peoples pitches. Maybe a few dog free pitches for people without dogs might be a thought as not everyone likes dogs. Apart from this we would return again.

Oh such a nice site, with wonderful facilities, he site manager and her husband were both very helpful.
The cafe that doubles as a restaurant, run by lovely people… the site grounds are just awesome, ponds to walk round or through the forest or even down to the village, just be advised most everything (shops, pubs, cafes (not all) close on Mondays) and pub food times are not all day so check before ya go…. can’t fault the site though (toilet block has piped radio as well as being clean) we had a wonderful stay 👍😍 (sorry guys unable to load photos !!!)

Just had 3 nights here and it was really wonderful. Everywhere is clean and well looked after. Pitches lovely and big. Excellent fishing if that is what you like. Dog friendly and although we don't have a dog they were all very well behaved. Thank you so much, we will certainly be coming again. An oasis of peace and calm. The Three Tuns in Doddington was an excellent place to eat.

First visit and our first caravan trip, lovely site, fully serviced hardstanding around the Waterside, excellent fishing, walks, showers, toilets, friendly shop. So good that we have booked again for 2 weeks time, hopefully the weather will stay nice, highly recommended.
Back again, it's the end of September, weather cooler but today is lovely, site same as last visit, will definitely be returning.

Excellent site with nice level pitches. The premium pitches around lake very good. Facilities are very good and well maintained. Our visit was in low season so some of the additional Facilities like lakeside cafe and food not available though surely a very nice addition when open.

My wife and I stayed here November. We stayed Waterside, very nice setting, excellent pitches and the Shower Block is very nice too. My only issue is with the water pressure from the showers, it's not water pressure to the facilties because water pressure from the sinks is fine. I think the electric shower units have been reduced as they are fairly good when you first turn them on, but then reduce. I used the disabled wet room as this was slightly better, but not ideal.
