How lovely is this place, we had a very relaxing week here. The facilities were always clean and tidy. The staff were friendly. What more do you want.

This is a fairly good campsite with some great positives: the location is perfect for exploring and the pitches are large and well spaced out. The ground is flat and the grass is well maintained. The picket fences throughout the site adds great characters and helps segregate campers. The wardens were quite visible and very nice/welcoming.
The bad points:
There weren't enough showers to cover the whole site. There is one temporary block. These showers were quite dirty and the water cold most of the time.
The hand sanitizing stations were mostly empty or didn't work.
All in all a reasonably good site which we would probably return to.

Great location for exploring the New Forest. Friendly & helpful staff. Facilities were portable so not as good as purpose built, were reasonably clean but never any hot water. Site was busy (200 pitches), noisy day and night, especially if you’re placed in the middle of the site! Good size pitches but does rely on neighbours being considerate with parking.

Good location & nice large campsite with well spaced pitches. The toilets were not well maintained, only been clean once a day so were pretty grim by morning. The gate is locked at night, with all campers locked in but if you need to get out the emergency contact number goes unanswered which is pretty scary when you’re trying to get your sick child to an out of hours doctor. The campsite was noisy at night, despite an apparent ban on campfires as there were several lit! Not very well run

Just arrived back after are first ever camping trip, we had a great time and the kids loved it. A few things we wasn’t happy with. The toilets and showers! Absolutely disgusting. I see the cleaner in the toilets 1 morning and after mopping the floor she throw the dirty water all over the path. Not good !!
The lack of dog poo bins, none at all, there was a lot off dog poos laying around in the grass we’re the kid played. Again absolutely disgusting.
No recycling going on either.
We tried the pizzas 1 evening but wasn’t impressed, raw toppings, no cheese and cold, easiest things to make so not sure what happened there.
After are 3rd day the range asked us to move are car a fraction over towards are tent because of Covid 🤦‍♀️
1 last negative! The shuffling feet going to the toilets through the night 🙆‍♀️
The walks are just beautiful, great routes and scenery, it’s a 3 mile walk to the village.

The site is beautiful, with lots of space and would get five stars, if I were reviewing the space alone. However the facilities are inadequate and hence almost always disgusting. Think sub-music festival and you'll get a good idea.

Showers with no curtains to keep your stuff dry, full of flies, dirty floors and no hot water on our last day. Also a good five minute walk for us. No urinals in the men's meaning that little boys have peed absolutely everywhere within minutes of the cleaners being in. But pee was the least of the problems.

The site was about a third full. Any more people and you'll be queueing for the loo as well as the showers. I wouldn't want to be there on a bank holiday weekend.

This is a great sprawling campsite with plenty of space between pitches. There are good access roads and plenty of toilets and showers.
There are set aside spaces for kids to be able to play and great access in to the new forest from the site itself. I understand the reasons why not but it would be great if you were able to have a fire pit to keep you warm of an evening and if you could I would give the campsite a 5 star rating. That being said I would happily come here again as my three boys really like it.

Spacious pitches, good noise rules for family camping. Toilet blocks very sparse and not cleaned regularly enough. Only 4 working showers for whole site when we were there (the other 4 were broken and dishing out cold water only). We had a great bank holiday weekend, relaxing with friends old and new. I'd go back, but just be prepared to go without a shower!
