Liked: Swimming pool was great.
Very ample size pitch.
Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: Very noisy on first night with no sign of security or anyone trying to deal with it. That changed by our third night.

Quite a bit of litter around the site and in the river. Not sure how you deal with people who think it is ok to leave rubbish anywhere.

Swimming pool - we had a four day pass but found out this allowed us 4 visits during our stay and not access on all four days. In fairness, when we challenged this, the manager acknowledged the issue and allowed us an extra session.

Entertainment -long gaps between activities in the evening so we did not wait around!

Liked: Absolutely everything if I am honest. There is something for all age groups. Absolutely one of the best camping trips I’ve been on in a long time. We took our dog and little girl who is 6 and both of them loved it. If you don’t want to use the on-site shop, you have a Tesco and Lidl 10 mins drive away. There’s a shopping centre, everything you need to be honest. The site is very clean and well looked after.
Lots for the kids to do, mini golf, arcades, rides, inflatables on the water, train ride, many parks to choose from all in shaded areas, perfect to play in the weather we had and much more. I don’t think 5 days was enough for us as there was so much to do.
We never ate at the venue, but the couple we met did and said it was nice food and not bad prices. However a little walk down the road is a green king pub which we used two of the nights and was lovely with a really nice view of the canal boats.
We had a lovely walk with the dog, and where the inflatables are there is a ramp I could take me dog for a swim and a cool down. It was so clean we could see the bottom and all the little fish swimming around us. It’s an absolutely beautiful place and we will definitely be booking to go back again. Also the receptionist were lovely on arrival. Very kind and helpful since it was our first visit. We didn’t know if we needed to check out so we did and they was very kind every time. It’s nice to see a happy face on reception as you don’t always get the welcome you want after a long journey.
10/10 for us, and I don’t usually give it, but honestly it was the best trip.

Disliked: We was next door to the toilets and showers, the only complaint was how squeaky the toilet doors was 🙂 and it would’ve been nice for someone to control the noise late at night. There is a noise curfew for 11pm, but it wasn’t controlled by staff. However it wasn’t every night, we get people are there to have fun, but there was a lot of small children around us, and then a group of 15 people having a party for three nights and littered in the stream and around there camp which wasn’t very nice to see.

Liked: Facilities were ample and clean. Site was very busy on the bank holiday weekend but we found a reasonable size pitch.
Swim prices and entertainment for kids was good prices, food and drinks were good choice and reasonable prices.

Disliked: Entertainment area was incredibly busy (BH weekend) and there was incredibly bad language from guests smoking and gathering outside the family venue, and the Willow bar. security did nothing to reduce this and as such we didn’t feel we could use those venues with very small children with us.

Liked: Plenty to do on site for kids (and adults) including inflatable water park, swimming pool, funfair, arcade etc.
Plenty of space for dog walks. Local amenities close by.

Disliked: Bins were overflowing most of our stay although it was just after the bank holiday weekend. Showers need an upgrade, lots of residual water on floor, not enough hooks to keep clothes off the floor.

Liked: The site itself is beautiful in many places. The willow trees over the water, the size of the pitches, and the lakes are very picturesque. There is a lot to do for children to do and the swimming pool is great. It was nice being in a more lively campsite (I'd say it was more similar to the family camping at a festival that your normal campsite). Staff friendly in general and lots of them around.

Disliked: As mentioned in other reviews, there is a serious lack of toilets and the facilities that are provided aren't great. Very dark and quite dirty. It was a long walk to the block for us, although it was good to be in a quieter area, you shouldn't have to sacrifice toilets for a quiet pitch. The entertainment man was very grumpy and made you wonder why he does that job! The site was very busy and yes it was loud in some places (but you could easily find a quieter spot).

Liked: Absolutely nothing

Disliked: It was by far the worse place we have ever stayed. So much so that we left after a day. We lost 3 nights that we had paid for but we couldn’t stay a minute longer. The place is so badly run down, the toilet blocks were disgusting and i couldn’t bring myself to use them, thank goodness I was in my tourer as was able to use the bathroom there (first time ever!) as there was no way I or my children were using them. The showers have no lockable doors, just mouldy shower curtains that don’t shut fully. The toilets are missing loo seats, no toilet roll, and there are NOT clean. How people can leave their toilet mess like that is beyond me, the park like to blame this on agency staff cleaning in the evening but the responsibility lies with them! If you have a stroll through the park you are greeted with areas of what I can describe as fly tipping. Mattresses, furniture, you name it! You will also get high very quickly as the overwhelming smell of weed everywhere you go is so strong. Both myself and my husband use to visit when we were children and we spent the whole duration stating ‘what a shame’ it use to be good. I will never ever return and I will make sure that no one I know will ever go. I do not recommend to anyone!

Liked: Good on site amenities and choices for food drinks etc, unfortunately the fair and arcade closed early even though it was the summer holidays which was a shame for our kids as they enjoyed being in there. The evening entertainment and bar also closed early 10pm, and some entertainment wasn't on which was a little disappointing.
But all in all was a good experience and we will return.

Disliked: The price for swimming was a little steep as compared to some sites where it is included in the price of the stay on the site.

Liked: Very quiet which was brilliant for our young children as they do struggle sleeping sometimes with a lot of noise. Checking in was stress free, setting up our caravan was stress free and they even upgraded our pitch to put us closer to the toilets/showers.

Overall a brilliant stay for this time of year.

Disliked: Only let down was the ground conditions but that isn’t really their fault it’s just the time of year.
