Absolutely loved it. We went as a family of 4, 2 kids 2 parents and we went with a family friend. We had the best time. The cabin was so clean and tidy and gorgeous to look at. The hot tub was tested and cleaned every day. Theres nothing I can say to fault it. There was a great little park there for the kids and some lovely walks around the forest!

Stayed with Forest Holidays. Beautiful little park in what is a gorgeous area of the country. Service was lovely and staff were very friendly, unfortunately I didn't get any names but everybody I spoke to was very helpful and courteous. The cabin itself was absolutely stunning in design and it was a treat to stay in. That being said, all was not perfect.
To start with, I paid £60 for the premium entertainment package which includes a selection of films, but the television had an absolutely awful sound setup that made dialogue whisper-quiet and explosions sound like they were in the cabin with you, and worst of all, there were absolutely no subtitle options. I have difficulty with dialogue in films to begin with and the lack of subtitles meant I was wholly unable to watch any of the films I had paid so much money for. I wound up watching movies on my phone.
Second, there is a serious lack of signage in the area. It seemed to me that all of the real hiking trails were a car journey away in distance. I spent hours walking around the park and the general area and all I found were roads, car parks and bike trails. If you're a hiker/walker and don't intend to use your car like me, you may end up disappointed. I definitely was. Perhaps some more signs and guidance as to where we can walk would be helpful.
There were a few minor issues with the cabin itself; the floor and windows were dirty when I arrived and the dishwasher had a terrible smell to it. The floor I was able to clean myself but it was a shame about the enormous windows being dirty, as I imagine it would have been very nice to sit on the sofa with a cup of tea staring out at the trees. My biggest gripe with the cabin itself was the oven; mine had all of the labels rubbed off through use to the point where even the provided instructions were useless to me! It took me a considerable amount of time pressing random buttons before I was able to get it working.
Overall, definitely not the perfect escape into the woods I was hoping for, but it was nice just to get away for a week in a pretty, quiet little neck of the woods. Despite the problems I had, I still had a relaxing time there and can't fault the staff. A solid 3 stars for a generally pleasant stay.

Lovely cabins with hot tubs set in sherwood Forrest, lots of local walks/things to do and dog friendly too. Food from the on site restaurant is top class which can be delivered to your cabin.

Stayed with Forest Holidays, cabin is lovely(cabin 61 is very private & not overlooked). Some lovely walks close by in Sherwood Pines forest, mountain bike trails, dog walks & picnic areas.

A beautiful place to relax, and recharge your "batteries" , fresh woodland walks on well signposted trails suitable for various abilities, baby buggies, wheelchair -mobility scooters. So comfortable in the log cabin, great beds and plenty of space inside, ideal bathrooms all clean. Kitchen area well equipped with everything you need to cook in your cabin, good food and hot drinks etc, in the retreat all reasonably priced. Just what we needed, fresh air in natural setting, plenty of thing's and places to visit close by. This is our second Forest Holiday, would not hesitate to go on another one.

Great place to stay. Had a lovely long weekend with the girlfriend. Cabins are really nice and the takeaway food on site is amazing.
