Liked: Lovely quiet setting with the fishing lakes. Shower block and washing up facilities were only a short distance from pitch which was handy.
Cafe only a short walk to the main road which was good for breakfast.

Disliked: Walkway to the shower block along side our van which meant people were regularly passing pitch 9.

Liked: Very quiet and peaceful site, with plenty of wildlife to observe while walking round the fish ponds. Large level pitches with hedges, so good privacy, with waste water drain and water taps on each pitch as well as EHU. Cafe/chippy at entrance, if required, and a couple of pubs within a mile or so. Large facilities block, so no pressure on showers etc, and liked the large format shower cubicles.Site easy to find, as just off main road in village .Good email communication prior to arrival

Disliked: Not clear if WiFi was available as no info or password supplied

Liked: Clean, compact, well provisioned. Quite relaxed area. Great showers and toilet facilities. Ideal location for a quiet stay.

Disliked: Very low maintenance site, so you will be asked to do a number of activities that might normally be provided by the site. Difficult to peg out due to hard standing but not unreasonable.

Liked: The pitches are a good size and have tallish mature hedges separating them. The site was very quiet only us and 2 other campervans and a couple of caravans. The lake is very pretty for a quick walk around. The entrance to the park is nice, note the sat nav doesn’t give true location, site is just before sat nav destination on the left if approaching from Shrewsbury, not down narrow lanes on right as directed. Good location though and you don’t hear the road, only 20 minutes from Shrewsbury which is well worth a visit.

Disliked: The toilets and showers block need some updating. The showers soak absolutely everything in sight and it’s very hard to keep anything dry as I only had one hook and no toilet seat in my cubicle. Also the lights go off after about 15 minutes and you cannot reactivate them from inside the cubicle which I found quite disturbing as a woman in there on my own as it was getting dark and having spent 10 of the 15 minutes trying to balance all my clothes on top of the cistern as it seemed the only dry spot, and my shampoo conditioner etc on top of the sanitary bin as there was no shelf or space for them by the shower… I then ending up having most of my shower in the semi darkness which in all honesty scared me a little. It’s also a pain to have to put in a code every time you want to enter the bathroom, it’s quite hard to remember as it’s a six digit mix of letters and numbers, which means finding your phone to look up the code every time you need a wee, a pain especially in the middle of the night and seemed to us unnecessary for them to be permanently locked but perhaps there is a reason for this that wasn’t apparent whilst the site was almost empty.

Liked: Wigmore lakes is a fantastic place to relax and also go fishing. I loved the whole place. The owner are brilliant and very relaxed. Bob is a gent and will do anything for you to make sure your stay is perfect and he keeps the place looking amazing. He provide fishing tips as a keen fisherman and just wants you to have a good time.

The caravan hard standing has loads of room very level and comes with mains waste and water. Fantastic.

The facilities are lovely and warm due to underground heating and a nice hot clean shower.

They have a brew house and all you need to wash up etc if you are camping. the place is incredible and I will be back. well worth the price.

Disliked: Nothing Its awesome

Liked: Showers are nice and hot! The kitchen area is a welcome respite when rainy, and the electric kettle made preparing meals much easier.

Disliked: Not a place to stay if you're looking for isolation, but reasonable place to stay to access the local area.

Came to wigmore lakes to escape London for a rest. I got exactly what I wanted from it. It was also great for my dog . I dont fish so I can't comment on that side of it. My lodge itself was perfect, clean and WiFi access which didn't cut out which was a bonus. I'd stay here again.
