So grateful to the custodians of Mettingham Castle for opening up their gardens to the public for an outdoor theatre production of Sondheim's "Into The Woods" by Upshoot Theatre Company; this was a most magical experience and a unique opportunity to see the Castle by early evening sunlight fading to a beautiful sunset. Bravo to everyone involved in "Into The Woods", you brought tears to my eyes when I wasn't even aware I was crying, such an emotional experience, heightened by the stunning forest setting within the ruins of this beautiful Castle. An unforgettable English wonder! xxx

What a lovely evening watching a local theatre group performing 'Into The Woods' while we were in the woods. Fantastic venue for this fundraiser.

Gate house impressive and extensive wall ruins. Viewed from gate alongside Castle Lodge. I wonder why it was built?

Only possible to view the Castle ruins unless you're staying at the Lodge.
