Dunelm

What can I say really, it's Dunelm. A great shop that has pretty much anything you could need for your home at very reasonable prices. The reason for one star off is that I was looking for a particular product and asked a member of staff if she could tell me where it was. I was simply told 'everything like that should be in this area' with a broad sweep of the arm and she walked off leaving me none the wiser. I knew that and had already had a walk around but couldn't find the product hence asking the question and expecting a specific response. It did annoy me slightly and I was considering a three star review but everyone else I spoke to in the shop was very helpful so that made up for the one perhaps undertrained staff member. Later in the day I done a click and collect online order and this was fine online but not too clear once instore. Luckily I asked the chap stationed by the front door when I arrived and he said he deals with the online orders. I think this is an area where there could be major improvements and clarity. Had I not asked the question I would have been wandering around looking for a sign. Again the chap was very helpful so no real complaints other than the lack of clarity within the store itself with regards to the click and collect.

I'm quite angry with Dunelm. I bought a Mattress topper recently. It's labelled "Single" on its package but there was no measurements. During check-out, I asked for the measurements, the staff just kept on saying that the size was for single bed. I trusted that if the staff said so, it should be OK to cover a standard single bed mattress of 90x190 - 200cm. When I opened it at home, it was much smaller, around 85 x 185cm. That makes me feel that the reason the company did not put the measurements on the package was that it did not want to let consumers to know that it's smaller than a standard single bed mattress. I would not have bought it if it could not cover up a standard single bed. And I could not get a refund because I had opened the package (but there's no way for me to know the size if I did not open the package and got it out -- it was folded and rolled up). I regretted that I hadn't bought it from Ikea, which gave the measurements so clearly and honestly.

Most helpful staff! I wanted a nightstand on the shelf, they spent ages looking for one in stock, and when they couldn't find it they offered me a great deal to either order one online or get the display piece. Extremely pleased with my purchase. We also found everything else we needed that day in there :) Very happy customer!

Recently refurbished and reorganized looks better!
Kitchen, bathroom and household items are now at the ground floor, which is better placed in my opinion.
Good choices of curtains and bedding, already made or made to measure.

I have never visited dunelm in Cambridge before but i wanted to leave a review based solely on a young man named Jayden (I think that was his name) who was on the till serving me. This young man is visually impaired and only 17 and what an amazing young man he is. He was kind, considerate and genuine. I want to thank him for his kindness and I wish him all the best in his future. 😊

Good for small items you can get in store - decent quality at good price. Would not recommend large items for delivery. Two now arrived scuffed/damaged, and they won’t take up stairs despite website saying any room delivery.

It has lots of soft decors like beddings and curtains. I enjoyed shopping at Dunelm but the display was very crowded. It had too many things and too narrow space for people to walk between.
Not that many people as I expected since I went on the first weekend after the lockdown was lifted.

Dropped off the Christmas presents for Delivering Joy at the tree. It wasn't in the most prominent place so easily missed. Would of been nice to have really shown it off better.
