The Range, Leyland

Nice place. Typical vibe at the range - tonnes of stock. Maybe some things are slightly hard to find because of the sheer number of things, but that's a tough challenge to crack. It's very local to me so I'll definitely visit again

Recent visit and I was impressed with the wide variety of choice, especially in the home ware dept. Some unusual items at reasonable prices. I like how I can shop and if necessary, buy most items that would kit out my home (except for eg sofa, bed, furniture). The reason for 4 stars is that the price labelling is often poor. Lots of items aren't labelled or are labelled inaccurately, which let's this store down. An easy problem to fix, if staff were observant and motivated. This store has a depressing feeling about it, untidy shelves, more staff are needed. Also staff often don't interact with customers. With the right staff team and managers this store could be far more successful.

They always have a good selection of items on sale.Prices going up,but they are everywhere.I was rather surprised to be met with a large Halloween display in the entrance hall,it's only mid August....I thought it smacked a bit of desperation,maybe that's just my opinion

Friendly and helpful staff. The prices here can't be beaten. I am in the Home Improvement trade and prefer The Range to other outlets.

One of my absolute favorite stores. Such a huge variety. And they have the best decorations for the various holidays. Love visiting The Range.

The items on display hadn't any prices in a lot of cases and the displays seemed unorganised . The staff had little idea although helpful , willing and polite

I used to like visiting the range, but hasn’t been for awhile. I wondered to myself why I hadn’t been, but in having a look around was reminded how drab and disappointing the store has become.

I attended the Leyland store this evening in order to purchase a White Scrap Book 8 x 8. I found 3 books which were wrapped in its packaging. Unfortunately they were all filthy and covered in dust. The ribbons on the inside all had a brown tinge to them and some were also marked. The dust had penetrated the packaging and caused the covers to be dirty. As I still wanted the item, I asked the staff if they could kindly discount the items as it would require me to clean them before use.

The manager was contacted who did not speak to me in person. After 5 minutes of waiting, I was informed by the checkout staff "SHE SAID NO". I was quite dissapointed that the manager could not speak to me in person about this issue.

I then had to select the best scrap book from a bad bunch and found in the packaging was what looked like a small bogey. I have taken a picture of the books which are of a poor standard. You could say that I could have chosen not to buy the book, however, I still required it and thought that the store might be able to resolve the issue fairly.

A very dissapointing experience, I hope the manager could not see me due to her being busy with cleaning the store!
