Homebase - Harlow (including Bathstore)

Very big store with friendly helpful staff. Only fault I have is their solar lights are always faulty so don't buy them from homebase. Go to the pound shop for solar lights (that's where my neighbours went and their lights are bright every night, where as mine don't work at all) :-(

Decent store, but staff more focussed on tasking than serving customers. Only manned till was the customer services desk, despite a sizeable queue forming. Eventually another sales assistant put her returns trolley to one side and opened another till.

Homebase were alright, it's a shame they don't cut wood to size anymore, but overall a good shop for all DIY needs, staff is helpful and a good selection of wares. - revisited today and bought some house plants, nice selection one was a cute pineapple, please some go and buy it!

Six cash registers - but no staff at any of them! One great lady working on the ‘collections’ desk basically holding the whole place together . Five stars to her!

Needed some Really Useful Boxes, Homebase had them all in stock and at a decent price as well. I really didn't want to get these online due to the issues of high shipping cost and transit damage. Homebase had piles of them, all in good order.

Had what we wanted. Changed the front of the store to storage. Garden table and chairs gone etc... . Plenty of stock. Prices can be dearer than competitors. Plant section is well stocked but they could look after them better.
