Homebase - Dartford

Fantastic level of service from Josh W and his colleague in helping us design our new kitchen. Firstly he managed to fit us in around another booking, then went well over his shift to help us settle on a design. Professional and knowledgeable about the product range throughout, he also gave great customer service after our visit helping with additional enquiries and dealing with the parking operators and their overly enthusiastic ticketing.

The service tipped our preference towards Homebase so we have just come from second visit to complete the purchase. We hope the actual kitchen lives up to the standards of the help so far.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because we could get everything we wanted as some of the packs were damaged, making them unusable, apart from that would use this store again.

Good availability, buy parking time limited. I got fined while I was working with the kitchen designer who was late and it eventually took more than 3 hours. They have entry and exit cameras for time management.

Went to this Homebase as I was unable to Click&Collect the items I wanted.
There was no one at the door to ensure the store was not over crowded but it was early so that was not a problem.
A rather weird one-way system in the store but better thsn nothing (?). The checkout system was completely bizarre & took twice as long because you jad to walk past the checkout to place your items on another counter then back to the checkout while the staff scanned it, over to a different window to do your payment & back to collect your goods.
On the way out you are still following a one-way system that then suddenly does not apply to other staff who can walk where they seem to like, without a please or thank you, & be extremely rude & aggressive at the mention of social distancing.
It was altogether a poor shopping experience

Shopped at Home Base in Dartford on Saturday morning and grabbed myself a cheap Lawnmower an absolute bargain.
A shame to see the shop shutting down.
The attitude of the staff hasn't changed.

Their stock system isn't great. It didn't say that a particular paint, Craig and Rose, was going to come back into stock. So I ordered from another store, only to find it was back on the shelves within hours. A little waste of time, but not too bad. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Some of the most friendly and helpful staff I've persoally witnessed. In fact the lady at the customer service desk went well out of her way to help... even looking at a different shop, not homebase, for a product. Really helpful and really appreciated. Products are well priced but they won't price match or beat, so best to know what you should be paying for certain products.

Closing down so not much to look at and even what you do is confusing by the price. Cashiers with attitudes like the last round of im a celebrity ...maybe its best it is closing down not a very good store even whilst it was stocked hence why the opening sentence has occurred.

Just as well they are closing down.Looking at grass trimmers on Homebase website £29.75 thought I would be getting a closing down discount of 10% off but at the till £31.50. Walked out as after speaking to a supervisor/manager. They could have at least honored the price shown on the Homebase website. Very disappointed 😞
