The best Sheesha lounge I have ever been to, in the world- that’s how good this place is!
The ambience is beyond any ordinary Sheesha place. It has a cave like setting with very contemporary lighting which I loved.
There is a wide variety of Sheesha flavours available and the pots are extremely high quality!
The staff, especially the man controlling the smoking lounge area was one of the nicest ever and I would definitely every person to visit this place, whether or not you’re a smoker.

Kudos to the owners!

Very instagramable. But that’s about it. If you’re not into it for the shisha the place is quite disappointing. I booked this place based on the Instagram recommendations and didn’t realise it’s a shisha bar. So I rocked up with my little 1 year old 😂 for breakfast/brunch.

Drinks arrived in glasses with sticky finger prints and the food arrived an hour later. I’d give the food a 3/5 it was very basic albeit some pretty garnish.

I think it’s important to remember that the place is a cafe but once inside it’s easy to expect restaurant style service which it is not. No napkins no table settings, it was all quite bland and I had to resort to using my child’s baby nappy wipes 😂 and ask for cutlery once food was eventually served

I was so excited when I went inside and seen the cave like interior but felt quite deflated on my way out so for that reason I can’t recommend this place for small families. The service is just not there yet. I really wanted to try the coffee but given the wait I didn’t feel motivated to add anything more to the order. It all looked pretty but the experience just wasn’t pretty. Staff were very rushed and busy although helpful. I’m giving it a 5 star although I think it deserves a 3 star. Reason for this is that it was my fault for not realising it’s a cafe/Shiah place not a restaurant.

The service is wonderful and friendly and the food was yummy! The only thing I would change (and maybe this is an age thing) is to make the restaurant more bright and breezy! I had a lovely time nevertheless and will be back for more soonish!

Stopped by there on the other night. Just passing through Cardiff. Typed shisha lounge in Cardiff as the Google gave me five or six places on the same street. As all close to eachother not have any idea to stop by. While rambling on the street asked few places about having outside sitting unfortunately none of them had. Stopped just by Kaya, from outside not looking a big place but it is quite big one once you get in. First you were given a table number at the gate and make your order just by the till. It looks they have just drinks like hot and cold drinks different types of milkshakes and mojito cocktails and shisha. The place well decorated cave style and lots of TV on the walls. Order not taking long fast service. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Shisha was okay as not find my flavour and tried something new. You can stop by there if you don't have any idea about others on the same street or explore the others.

Amazing selection of shisha, had the premium flavor was super amazing. The staff were from what I could gather all middle eastern. Went on a date here with a Palestinian girl and was pleasantly surprised that apparently you can ask for playing cards! The staff was friendly facilities were clean lighting and music was spot on! Would definitely recommend a visit if you just want a fun outing!

Terrible customer service from what we think might have been the owner, as we really cannot imagine an employee being so rude to customers.

There were 6 of us and we found this place on Google, which seems to have great reviews. However, based on our experience I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. More than that, I suggest you don't even bother stepping foot in that place if you don't want to be kicked out by the owner's repulsive way of dealing with his potential customers. At least, that's what happened to us.
I don't remember ever coming across anyone like him - anyone in this industry, at least.

Grabbed a takeaway karak chai. The man serving told me it was the best on city road, or something along those lines. Well it truly did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

2019: City Road has a number of shisha spots. This is one I have been going to since it opened. Over a year. Operates as a noodle bar in the day. Yes they change the coals regular, have a very good range of flavours and use established tobacco brands. Inside, it has two areas for seating. A quiet and a main space. Music and wall hung tv's in the main. Sofas booths against walls and cafe stools in centre. Good service. Gets busy Saturday night even though it can house 100+. Snack food is halal. Serve mint tea and various cakes. Tv's hard to see from all angles. Can be cold in winter and it can be loud meaning that you have to talk loud to have a conversation. Otherwise it's a nice enough place to keep coming back to.

Dec 2022 update. So after many many shisha sessions here, travelling to Abu Dhabi and experiencing shisha up and down the country and world, I miss this place. I've had all manner of exotic shisha from upscale and fusion joints in different parts of the world but the benchmark for me and a Swiss residing friend is Kaya. The bar is set. I've been coming to the owners shisha place when it was on the other side of the road through a narrow corridor. I'm on OG customer. This is quite easily the best shisha joint in Cardiff and Wales. My review isn't after coming here 1 or 2 times although that also counts. I got over 100 visits to this place over many years. All seasons. Quality shisha, decent service, good rapport with staff, no bulls**t, coals changed, nice decor, reasonably priced and now they got a decadent breakfast menu serving food which is a new angle. What not to like? Well, the music on weekends is still too loud. Come on guys, just enough so we can hear ourselves talk to each other.
