Absolutely brilliant hospital. I cant praise and thank them enough. Saved my husbands life after a car accident and also helped us as a family at a traumatic time. Nothing was a problem and they always helped us to understand things. They truly deserve to be named the best hospital.

I had a bone-marrow extraction that day.
The doctor and nurse doing the job were compassionate, skilled and thoughtful. They made what can be an unpleasant experience, bearable. Should I require a further extraction, I would rather like to have them do the job

My mother was admitted to Addenbrookes a few months ago. The care the staff provided when there were enough of them was good, but in general the hospital was very short staffed and I would class its standard of care dangerous at times.

Dementia patients seem to be expendable to the managers at this hospital. My mother was moved seven times in six weeks, each time she experienced severe disorientation, anxiety and stress, she became more disoriented in to a psychosis like state.

I complained to both PALS and the CEO of the trust, but nothing seemed to stop the managers moving my mother. It's like she was a parcel being handled by Evri/Hermes.

In the end, my mother went into Addenbrookes able to hold a conversation and recognising who her family are. On discharge, she was confused, withdrawn, not eating or drinking due to the stress she had experienced. Within two weeks she passed away.

It wasn't only my mother being shipped around the place, I saw other old and dementia affected patients being treated in exactly the same way.

They healed my mum's physical condition at Addenbrookes, but they killed her mentally with the lack of care of a dementia patient.

It seems Addenbrookes chose to move around the least able to stick up for themselves, least able to defend themselves, least able to complain.

All I know is I lost my mum before her time due to her treatment here. For that, I can never forgive them.

After monthly ambulance visits in agonising pain over 2 years my daughter in law has been pleading for a ct scan every time she was told there's a waiting list and also kicked out of a and e because she was screaming too loud and keeping other patients awake , to the point she was wheeled to the bus stop by security and left there , another occasion she had to call police to get her back in to be treated as they pointed out they have a duty of care . I personally witnessed their disgusting attitude towards her. This weekend she was hospitalised in Norfolk hospital within 3 hours she had a ct scan and is now in surgery. And possibly going to need organs removed due to issue not being treated . This is utter negligence .

Best hospital I have been to.
So helpful and caring. Explain everything properly every step of the way. Must add the people of Cambridge seem very polite too.

I had a gastroscopy at the hospital this week and was treated so kindly by the staff. From checking in to being shown out after the procedure, I was so impressed with the level of care and information given me at every stage. Thank you so much to all the staff in the endoscopy department. You do wonderful work.

In 2008 I came to this hospital after falling down the stairs. After thorough examination, X-ray and couple hours of waiting I've heard that "I will be dancing in two weeks". Well, the only dance I had was on neurosurgery ward in my own country when I received a diagnosis: my spinal disc broke off and got stuck in my spinal cord. I've asked if it's possible that x-ray made 2 weeks before didn't show anything - he said that only a blind person could miss such a permanent damage. I'm going to mention that my leg was cold and blue at this point, I was shambling it.

Today I hope that this lady who was just starting her career in medicine doesn't treat others. Her incompetence costed my health, making me a cripple. I've wasted two precious weeks before I was forced to fly to my own country and get a proper treatment. My leg is senseless to this day. So many years of learning and no knowledge - I wouldn't even let her treat cows because I care for animals too much.

God help any relatives who have patients on ward A4 general ward above the hdu ward most nurses on there are rude and haven't time for you, and as for communications it's non existence, answering the phone is also a complete impossibility for them, and when/if they do they haven't a clue who or what your on about yet they suppose to be looking after your loved ones whilst they on ward, I'm awaiting conformation on my partner returning home (possibly today 22nd dec) and can't get hold of no one, phone rings for 24 seconds and then get a beeping tone. Really fills you with positivity (NOT) really bad service and patient care is also overlooked and ignored.
