Been coming here for 20 years. Professor Richardson was amazing and sorely missed. Mr Banerjee did a brilliant job with my new hip 8 years ago and I don't think I would've been able to walk without him. Incredible hospital, very clean and always well looked after. Many hospitals could learn a lot from Oswestry!

Booked a slot to visit a friend . Came from Birmingham so long drive over 90 minutes. Booked 1pm. To be told lunch and to wait. Asked how long (only have certain time as got to get back home) to be rudely told by staff member don't know can't tell how people eat and to sit on chair and wait. This has limited the time we have to visit friend. We did everything correct on our part. Booked 2 slots. Don't have visiting at lunch time.

Cervical fusion at two levels under Spinal Consultant Mr Chitgokar and the team.
I've been in a few hospitals, however this is absolutely fabulous, well organised, spotlessly clean, staff are pleasant, curtious and conscious towards their patients.
Travelled 50 miles to come here rather than a few nearer home. The right choice!
Ward 21, great staff, quiet during night a big plus and a big shout out for tea lady Donna,
Whom also made sure my bed was snug. Overall 100%

Eighteen days ago I had a total Hip Replacement and was a patient in the Ludlow unit. My recovery has exceeded all my expectations and I attribute this to my choice of Hospital that is outstanding and my excellent Surgeon Mr Okora that I was able clearly to see from the detailed profiles fitted my needs. He is a focused and professional man and highly skilled , I have had no complications due to a very through
Pre-operative assessment and excellent care from the most caring and attentive nursing pre and post op team. Standards are high and maintained throughout the hospital from admin staff nursing and the diligence of cleaners (a vital area)
Thank you so much I despaired of walking normally again without pain , everyone is amazed by my progress.

Outpatients an utter disaster. Car park attendants stood chatting as patients run round looking for working pay machine. We left before seeing anyone after a clinic wait that was as bad as the old days, 2005 etc, where I'd leave after waits where I'd be late for school, work etc. This time though staff weren't bothered why I was leaving early. Torture is an understatement. Seems to be people stood chatting not doing much. Reception let a queue form as they sat and chatted. Xray heaving with folk even stood. Only smile we got was from woman we told we were going who couldn't be interested in reason - as she realised one less to deal with. Nobody rang to see what had happened unlike days gone of disaster clinics. I've never been anywhere but rjah seeing bragging of delays announcements. It's madness and ruins the excellent service elsewhere in the Trust.

I had an operation yesterday and was incredibly lucky to be under the care of Mr Ford and is brilliant team... Every single member of staff I spoke to were really really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble... I actually felt like I was in a private hospital... Amazing hospital and people and would have absolutely no reservations or concerns about returning there again x

The Baschurch Unit
Staff were incredible. I was taken in efficiently in a cancellation slot which was brilliant. The surgery team (Mr Pickard, Mr Ahmed and others) seemed to do fantastic job. I didn't even need a single painkiller after surgery. Special thanks to a student nurse (think her name was Stacey) who was amazing, talked me through the process and had everything organised and under control. Thanks to the rest of the team too. I feel very lucky to have been under their care.
