Biggart Hospital

While I cannot and will not fault the nursing staff in Lindsay Ward I will comment on the Cafe.
Again unable to question the friendliness and helpfulness of the Volunteers who run the cafe and small shop next door.
What I will comment on is the tea & coffee.
To my taste they are both awful and I'll tell you why. The coffee is percolated, not sure at what time, and then sits on a hot plate as part of the coffee machine and therefore slowly stews. I'm not a lover of very strong coffee and that is exactly what you get.
As for the tea it's not made from a boiling kettle and that's the problem right there! Instead, hot
water is put in a teapot for one, from a water heater with a lever to dispense water as required. The water is kept very hot but not boiling/simmering and this ruins the flavour of the tea.
Otherwise a great hospital with a decent sized car park, excellent staff and offering other services out with the hospital such as meeting rooms and hair dresser. But it is the disastrous tea and coffee that. gets the Biggart Hospital only three stars.
