We were with our disabled daughter on x ray
Staff not helpful. They said there is no hoist in the hospital. After husband's intervention, they went and brought them. These people should not work there if they do not want to help children
Very bad experience

My grandmother has been an in-patient here twice over the past 18 months and was also recently admitted to the Minor Injuries Unit. On all occasions the care she received from the staff was wonderful. All her meals were cooked and presented well and standards of hygiene were very high. The ward she was on has individual rooms, each with its own bathroom and free tv. There is ample free car parking and a customer restaurant/coffee shop plus vending machines. If anyone has complaints about facilities at an NHS hospital then they need to blame the government and not the staff.

I needed to X Ray my foot as a result of an accident, so I contacted the Minor Injuries dept in Ebbw Vale and quite frankly it was by far the best descion I could have made.

As sson as i arrived I was informed by reception exactly what forms I needed to fill out in order to get an X Ray and communication was maitianed throughout.

I waited for aprrox 15 mins before being assessed by a nurse and within 10 mins of the assessment I was in X Ray.

Within 10 mins I was infront of another nurse who assessed my X Ray and because she wanted to make an informed decision about my foot she requested another X ray which happened within minutes and the diagnosis was made.

It is also important to understand that there were quite a few people waiting for X Rays with a consistent flow of people going througth the X Ray department and then on to the nurses assessments.

With everything that has been thorwn at the NHS and medical staff these last few years, we should be immensley proud of what they are acheiving at this hospital.

My thanks to everyone and the service and care that you all provide.

Give these nurses tea, foot rubs and more pay! Incredibly dedicated team dealing with so many people. I had a traumatised thumb and was dealt with wonderful care and attention. Thank you so much. Really appreciate you all.

When you have a seriously ill old relative at the hospital and need to book a time slot to see them, or ring to ask how they are, it would be nice if a staff member picked up the telephone in the ward so you can speak to someone for information. We all know how busy a hospital can be but for many concerned relatives they ring and are left at the end of a phone for long periods of time without a reply and have to put the phone down. This happens a lot!

The hospital looked after my 89 year old mother following a fall . She was there for 6 weeks and was well looked after in her individual room. The staff were helpful and caring and the food was very good.
