Overall, the stay there was very nice. I stayed in a room with 21 beds and the beds were spaced well and there was surprisingly a lot of room to move around. The beds were comfortable for a hostel, and it was over all clean. I’m seeing people complain about the bathrooms, but honestly the bathrooms were fine. The location is a bit tricky, especially at night when the park is closed. Getting there with luggage is also a bit of a trek, but that isn’t the fault of the hostel itself, just something to keep in mind when booking. Friendly staff. I felt safe and secure there

The location is simply superb, as the hostel is situated in the glorious surroundings of Holland Park. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of warm croissants, cereals, cheese, ham, toast etc. A choice of hot drinks are available from machines and the sitting area is large and welcoming. Outside are plenty of tables and benches. The room was adequate (one bunk bed room 21) and the showers were clean with plenty of hot water. If you plan a visit between June and August you'll benefit from daily operas being performed each evening in the opera adjacent to the hostel!
It was a very pleasant stay but air conditioning would have been beneficial in this recent heatwave.

Don't recommend. Noisy and not clean. People checking in at all hours. Three times someone coming in stinking of booze, no bags, just walked in off the street I presume. Three level bunkbeds. Greedy for every bit extra they can make. Loud door banging, never fixed. Ran out of key cards (from.reviews not a new problem) so.door wedged open.with bin. No air flow. Broken fan. Advised.staff, nothing done. Toilets and showers in poor condition. Lack.of care here. Everything overpriced. Even a notice saying guests will be charged $1 corkage fee to consume own food on site...unbelievable. No kitchen facilities at all. Wanted to do laundry on last day, no.detergent. Key card (when I did get one) deactivated every day, had to be renewed daily. Advise you look elsewhere. Very poor experience here

The room was ok, pretty clean and nice, but our bathroom was cleaned only once within my 5-days stay, so being used by 6-9 people everyday - you can just imagine how filthy it was... The staff is rather rude and not helpful (except to the people that seem to be 'regulars' there). The location in the middle of the park was amazing in my opinion. There is plenty of space around the building.
If you're 4:20 friendly no one will bother you (many times I saw people openly rolling and smoking), but if things like that bothers you - this is not a place for you.

Overall: Much more affordable than hotels in the area. My main problem was that the 3-person private room (108) has a shower that looks very nice, but isn't functional because there is no door. After every shower, there is water all over the floor (and no shower mat to soak anything up). The front desk wouldn't provide an extra towel to clean up, but they sent house-keeping. Thankfully kind gentleman from house-keeping left a mop for the remaining duration of our stay.

If the walk to get to the accommodation was shorter, I would have given it a 5/5.
The staff is very helpful
There is a storage area to keep luggage for a small fee of like £2
There’s a cafe and eatery on site~~
(Honestly probably because it is so far away from anything else around)
The rooms are tightly packed but everyone is very respectful of your belongings
The bathrooms are communal but there was no issues there
The bathrooms are kept very tidy, i was only staying for one night and I saw the staff cleaning the restroom three times during my stay
Overall , would stay again but dreading that climb up the hill

I stayed here on a school trip. I really enjoyed it except for the place we stayed. The rooms were not cleaned properly. I slept on a bottom bunk and round the edge of the room there was dust. In our building there was also lots of mild and damp. There was no where to hang coats or jackets and my locker didn’t work properly. People often walked around in the middle of the night making a racket. The food was the worst part. The pizzas came frozen and we didn’t even get lunch that we paid for in advance and what we did get had little choice. For the veggie people on the trip it was incredibly hard to get food suitable as we had ask twice for it to come and we told them in advance it would be needed. When we tried to resolve these issues the service was terrible. The only good things were that the beds were fairly comfy. If you are planning a school trip don’t come here.

Hands down the worst experience we have ever had at a hostel. We stayed for 5 nights and although is cheap you get what you pay for. Rooms were so loud we’ve barely slept more than a few hours a night. Absolutely disgusting bathrooms, they are cleaned so poorly. There were peas in the sink for our entire stay. Piss always all over the toilet seats. The showers were a joke. The most disgusting thing was finding multiple toenail clippings in my bed.The staff was always rude and unhelpful. This place would have a lot of potential if it was actually cared for. We will never stay here again and will warn others of our experience as well.
