Gaveston Hall

An extremely run down establishment with basic facilities. A step back in time to seventies boarding school field trip. Huts with bunks with as many as 3 to a triple bunk with a foot between only make it suitable for kids. Ample grounds for kids to run around in and as it is a cul de sac, it is pretty safe at least. Accommodation facilities are not so comfortable but its an amazing place for barbeque, swimming and various other sports and for a get together with family and friends.

Beautiful place with lots of natural space

I was leading a youth group of 30 people and we stayed in Gaveston Hall for a week. I thoroughly enjoyed it, so did the boys and ultimately it depends what you are looking for.

If you are looking for a house with lots of luxury and great beds and kitchen with everything being flashy then Gaveston isn't the right place but if you want a place where you can fit a large group of people and that group of people don't mind sleeping in a bedroom of 16 etc then Gaveston is the perfect place.

We had access to the swimming pool, the tennis court (which is pretty good) the campfire area, aa football pitch (which could've been better kept) and all-in-all it was a great place. The staff were great as well!

Very nice place to go if your church wants to go on tour for the weekend!
