Unfortunately was not conducive for a good night’s rest.
We were a group of 3 - given room B1, unfortunately the room was situated between the 2 ground floor main shared toilets. Randomly ALL NIGHT the toilet flush and pipes kept making loud gurgling noises, we were completely unstable to sleep.
The single bed had non- fitting bed sheets..
The rest of the facilities were adequate.

The location is incredible and the rooms are small but comfortable. All the food is extremely nice and really cheap. Only negative is the WiFi is almost unusable in most places.

Loved the friendliness if the staff, for example Jack. In also like the atmosphere of the hostel. (Even though we are now older and traveling with our kids). Very nice field to play for the kids.
The private sleeping room only had a window at the roof making it only suitable for resting and sleeping. It was clean and had a good shower.

We had such a great stay!! The staff were so friendly and helped us plan our hiking route. The breakfast was really tasty and the grounds are beautiful. We especially loved the goats!!

Was here for a conference. Really enjoyed the surroundings. Comfortable beds. Good selection of alcoholic beverages. Decent British food.

Great Youth Hostel and great stay. Self catering kitchen is well equipped, allowing a number of families to cook/prepare meals at the same time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fab location and also in easy walking distance to town with a number of pubs/restaurants. The only issue (which was passed on to staff at the time) was the large and deep potholes in the access road, which are really dangerous to cars, bikes and pedestrians, especially at night with unlit road (torch required if walking). Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

The friendliest staff and a perfect location for exploring the many hiking routes in the area. Good carpark for guests including bays for electric vehicle charging. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. A lovely building also which has always been super clean when I have visited.

The Losehill Hall Youth hostel in Castleton, Peak District. This youth hostel is one of many in England and Wales that provides good value accommodation for individuals, groups and families alike. The choice of rooms allows privacy for lone travellers and the convenience of a single room to allow groups or families to be together. This particular youth hostel is very well placed to sample the outdoor activities and attractions available in the North (Dark Peak) area of the Peak District. The skyline ridge walk between Mam Tor and Lose Hill is just on the doorstep and the many attractions of caves and caverns in Castleton ensure there is plenty to occupy visitors to this area. Losehill Hall Youth Hostel has a mix of grand, manor type rooms and modern facilities such as a well equipped self catering kitchen and washing, drying and showering facilities. WiFi for internet use is available as well as television viewing.
