Stayed 2 nights at this scenically located YHA. Booked a family room for 3. Super friendly manager James. Kitchen is clean n with full set of appliances. Good to come only if you drive because Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre is a good 7 min drive from the hostel.

Recently stayed at the YHA Stratford Upon Avon and had a really lovely time. It exceeded my definitely expectations and we look forward to coming back next year. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. The communal areas are welcoming, comfortable and clean.

We were a large group with lots of rooms and the hostel staff were so helpful and accommodating from start to finish.
We all had a brilliant time.

The rooms and facilities were great, suited my family and I perfectly. My 4 year old was particularly excited to sleep up on a top bunk!

Thank you YHA Stratford Upon Avon and having us and for ensuring our stay was so successful

The reason for three stars is the following: the distance from town is 40 minutes walking a not so interesting route, unless you wait for the £4 bus that is highly erratic in whether it actually arrives or not. The other main reason is that the dormitory room is not nice. The floors and door are loud, and the bed is just okay. There is no AC and no fan, and the window had to be held open with a soda can, the door propped open with an overflowing trash can. They give you one charger plug, but no towel, no soap or shampoo in the cramped bathroom. One of the locker doors was completely broken off; for the others you bring your own lock, opening which is loud because it doesn't budge easily. The hallway has a garish light that shines in the room because the door must be kept open. It's especially loud if someone is snoring.

The good: The ground floor and surrounding area is great. It is full of children and their parents. The kids have plenty to do playing around in the fields, and inside the house. All safe and lovely environment. The kitchen is good, with limited but just enough fridge space for something small. They offer overpriced coffee, some meals, a limited selection of draft beers, and wine. Overall it is enough for a night!

Have stayed here twice now. The first time we stayed in one of the pods. These are great, snug and cosy. The second time we were in an en suite with bunks. The room itself was fine but it overlooked the terraced dining/drinking area, because it was so hot we had to have the windows open which meant there was a bit of noise from below making it hard to get off to sleep. Breakfast was great and the staff helpful and friendly.

We stayed in a pod and couldn't fault it. Excellent value for money, super clean and had everything you would need. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the hostel itself very well equipped.

Really enjoyed staying here. The evening food was delicious (I had the potato, cheese and leek pie). Room was large, with a shower and toilet. There were sufficient plug sockets available and there was free WiFi (however it did like disconnecting a lot - was still v useful as service was low for me). Location was gorgeous and it was nice and clean.

It's a lovely place to stay with direct access to walking routes. My children loved playing around the large enclosure and the games room, even though it is a bit worn, was a very friendly and fun place.
