YHA Blaxhall

As a family we are spread all over the UK... So we decided to book the yha for our Christmas this year spending 4 Nights from Christmas eve to celebrate together. in total we had 19 of us.. It was a perfect location for all our age ranges those in the 70 plus range enjoyed reading / puzzles.. The younger of us enjoyed some lovely walks and the ship Inn was an added bonus only being around the corner.. Will book again in a heart beat

Stayed 1 night after dun run. Beware they open at 5 pm for checking in, doors closed until then, so if you show up too early you'll have to kick your heels until they open. There is a village pub down the road though. Clean, nice surroundings, good value filling dinner and breakfast. friendly staff. Bunk beds were not very big but just right for me at 5'4. For the price I was very happy.

Great location for walking on the heath. Popular as stop over by cyclists. Used it as a base to do some trail runs. Clean, well kept. Good breakfast. Quiet. Self service kitchen clean and well equipt. Very friendly helpful staff. Drying room. Not manned 24 hrs so locked before 5pm at night when you check in. Would stay again.

The location was perfect for our needs, visiting Snape Maltings, Orford ness and Aldeburgh. As per a lot of YHA hostels, the smell of damp in the bedrooms can be unpleasant at times. It would help if there was a drying room or the staff aired the rooms regularly.

I stayed in the en- suite room for two, the room was a good size, the en- suite was a bit cramped though. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. The Ship Inn is just down the road if you don't fancy the Hostel menu, good beer and food.

Lovely place. Very clean! Just make sure you check in on time as they are strict with their opening hours. Latest check in is 8:30pm

Can hear the wildlife on the fields.. Fantastic value, comfortable bed, and excellent breakfasts 👍

Smelly and while it was superficially clean it needed love and attention.
