Very nice hostel, I would not hesitate to return. Fully equipped kitchen, great drying room, enough fridge space. Very clean bathrooms. Comfy beds. Nice walks right from the door.

Only complaint was that our room was above the drying room and was very hot to sleep in even in the spring with the windows wide open. It would be unbearable in the summer! Also a very small point but the ladders are hard to climb up to get to the top bunks as they are completly vertical. I think a handle on the wall opposite the top would be very handy to help pull yourself over the top rung.

Hands down the best hostel I’ve ever been to. As clean as a nice hotel and better equipped than most. Large enough kitchen and spacious enough common areas for large groups (we were 13 people and had ample space). The outdoors fire pit has a great view. Bike storage is convenient for cyclists.

Amazing hostel! Staff was very friendly and super helpful with us extending our stay unexpectedly. The hostel is very clean, kitchen is spotless. Lots of space to cook and store food. Large variety of appliances. Large area for eating and socializing, and a common area with books. Lots of board games to play.

Theres two restaurants that are a minute walk on either side of the hostel, and another that is about a 10minute walk. Theres also two bus stops within a minute walk of the hostel, and will take you to pen-y-pass to hike Snowdon (about a ten minute bus ride). You can also start your hike up miod Siobbald from right outside the hostel.

Lot of detail has gone into this hostel. Very practical stuff to make your stay comfortable. Nice and clean space in a great location surrounded by mountains , lake, river and natural beauty. Plenty of parking. We used kitchen for basic breakfast as we were staying just for 1 night but kitchen is equipped with everything. We requested late checkout which was not possible but after leaving room we were able to use seating area/kitchen for atleast an hour playing card games which kids loved. We then walked towards nearby lake and Nick was happy for us to leave the car in their car park. Wash rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Plenty of seating outside. Overall a lovely homely place

Absolutely perfect, very comfortable hostel. The facilities are all really clean and simple - huge area for self-catering, wet room for drying clothes, simple and very comfortable rooms, plenty of clean and warm individual shower/toilet rooms. Very friendly reception. We had a small twin room that had a very well made in-built bunk bed, very comfortable beds though after a long day's scrambling the climb up to the top bed was slightly challenging (at least at my age). Great café and pub/hotel a few minutes' walk away, and all the mountains also a few minutes drive away (or walk out from here if you're keen!).

Fantastic little place for groups looking to hike/explore Snowdon! Large communal dining area and kitchen with fridges, sinks, cookers etc. Bus stop nearby - £6 return to Llanberis! On-site little shop/bar! Clean communal showers/toilets. My room was based on 3 sharing!

Our 4th stay at The Rocks. It was noticeably busier than previous times with a large group taking over the kitchen with not a lot of space for others. Also reserving tables for the evenings by setting out cutlery and glasses. Not really on but it won't put us off another visit. We'll put it down as a one off and hope it's not like that next time.

The lady on reception was friendly as was the big dog.

Wonderful stay in a cosy warm cottage like hostel with everything you could need. Lots of thought has gone into the decoration with maps of the area and photos of Snowdonia’s peaks. The location is perfect for all things Snowdonia. Nick was a great host.
