Good value hotel. Bed comfy but did find hairs on pillow. Bathroom a bit dated and our plug in the sink would not work properly meaning we couldn't use the sink. Good city centre location and friendly reception team. Underground parking was small so ended up parking on street instead.

Great location, great staff and customer service, good size rooms, comfy beds and decent continental breakfast. just didn't like the state of the carpet in my room, it looked filthy (like it wasn't hoovered in a long time) and also the parking is tiny and really hard if you have a bigger car. Other than that it was a good experience.

Confusion about which room I was in. No bar available or room service advertised. When I booked it said "breakfast included" but when asking was told "room only, no breakfast". Double room was stuffy and had a terrible smell. Carpet's not vacuumed, bathroom in serious need of maintenance, no tap for the bath, no plugs, toilet seat not centre and overall, not cleaned properly.
The one and only positive was the bed was comfortable but everything smells awful in the room. Very dissatisfied and will not go back.

Rooms (especially bathroom) need renovation, old windows that can’t be opened wide enough to get fresh air. But the beds are ok.
So enough for having a sleep overnight, but not for staying and enjoying.

Pros:

Excellent central location. Very welcoming front desk/reception and easy check in and out process. Strong Wifi in the room and hotel lobby. Incredibly comfortable mattress and huge. I loved the firm pillows but my husband didn’t. The heater works very well to warm up the room. Clean room and bathroom: thankfully I didn’t experience what other reviews said on a lack of shower geI or hand soap. Dog-friendly! Appreciated as well the lesser charge for our tiny dog.

Cons:

I asked for a quiet room. I was assured being on the 4th floor that would be the case. That was NOT the case. Our room- 410- faced the street and whilst the hotel is on a quiet street itself, there is a bar a block away. And the room does NOT have double-glazed windows. Really shocked in 2022, to not find this in a HOTEL in the U.K. Thus you WILL hear sporadic street noise until about 1:30AM.

No fridge in the room but you can leave items at reception.

Outlets to charge phones on one side of the bed but not the other.

Staff were lovely, breakfast was continental..
For me it was fine, toast and marmite is my favorite but it was basic...

Would not stay here again. Though in a good location, the room left much to be desired. The only door to the bathroom was a sliding, frosted glass door, which offered little privacy. The ventilation in the bathroom was broken, the TV remote missing, the fridge missing and mould on the windows. Parking was extra.
