The rooms are a little dated with no air conditioning. We cut short our stay because the temperature of the rooms was unbearable during the night. They do supply desk/pedestal fans but all they seem to do is circulate the stifling sweaty heat. Nice! The walls aren't the thickest either meaning during the night you could hear all manner of activities ;) as well as doors being opened and closed on the same level and above. The staff are great and the breakfast is on the better side of hotel chain breakfasts, just steer clear of what is supposed to be scrambled eggs! If you have kids with you and they want anything out of the on site vending machines, be prepared to take out a remortgage or even better, sell a kidney before you arrive. The location is decent with good links to all the local areas. There's a McDonald's, KFC, Gregg's, Starbucks and an Asda all within a 30 second walk of the hotel which is handy.

Good place to split the journey between North and south. The usual Premier Inn consistency and some good nearby sources of food including the obligatory attached pub. A bit dated but solid, unlike some of these new fangled places with garish decor and minimal facilities.

Went to my local premier inn for one night during the heatwave and was surprised with how well it was. The staff were great getting me and extra sheet to use instead of the duvet. I was also provided with a large fan which kept us cool.

Excellent rooms, clean. Only downsides were that the WiFi didn’t work when I got to my room (even ultra, so don’t bother if you have the same issue) and the water pressure was really low. Other than that friendly service with nice rooms and the food underneath is actually alright.

Room and bathroom very good. Service very pleasant but breakfast staff short handed so cooked breakfast (no buffet, table service) is slow. After 1st time we opted for self-service continental. Overall pleasant and functional.

Do not have food here as the service is beyond a joke . We were waiting 2hrs 15 min and then the wrong meals were brought. Another 15 minutes of waiting and this time the neal was luke warm.

What a treat! Five of us stayed in two rooms for a couple of nights. We were treated on arrival with a big smile whilst we went through the formalities of booking in. The rooms were spacious, modern yet comfortable, the bathroom was clean, with a powerful shower albeit in the bath. We had breakfast which was just right and all served by friendly efficient staff. One evening we had dinner which again was very good value. All in all this hotel ticked every box for us and I will not hesitate to use Premier inns in the future if this is the standards they deliver. Well done Premier Inn Ashby De La Zouch and Thankyou

Overall a good experience. The poor organisation at breakfast reduces the score. The breakfast area is very small and the continental breakfast items are spread out on the bar and surrounding bar tables. Results in people leaning over the breads and items. Not a hygienic or pleasant experience. Staffing levels are low and service, clearing tables, getting orders etc. are extremely slow. We gave up waiting for service after 45 minutes and had to pay £7.00 for a stale croissant and a tub of yoghurt. We went to the Macdonald's next door! The room was very quiet and warm and comfortable with plenty of hot water and the usual good bed you can expect from the group.
