We have stayed in many hotels this I would describe as all skirt and no knickers!
They play on a smart lobby and staff dressed for a much better hotel.
From when we arrived I was disappointed we stood for nearly had an hour to get checked in and it was blatantly clear certain. People were getting priority.
If you want a VERY basic hotel and a base this will do, is it a four NO!
The rooms are grubby and so so outdated the skirting boards are thick in dust and haven’t seen fresh paint in years and the bathroom was appalling.
Breakfast was the worst I have ever had everything was cheap and cheerful and the toasters seriously what a joke!
I found the staff rude no acknowledgement no smiling and no greeting and the bar experience was even worse. I thought get I would try a quick beer there were a handful of people at the tables and an older guy I. A very I’ll fitting suit making a coffee, I waited not even a nod then a second person who I am guess Was waiting the tables, I sat down and tried to get his attention nothing no greeting no will be a minute, so I got up walked out around the corner to a pub where clearly manners and trying matter, I was greeted and got a beer promptly.
Anyone who is considering this hotel can pick as they wish from my review but this is a honest review from MY personal experience.
In summary not a 4 star.
Would I recommend absolutely not.
Was it worth its money NO
Would I consider staying here again, categorically no.
One other observation which if you do stay take a look, there are lots of what could be management walking about, why I couldn’t tell you least of all what they do.

The hotel was impressive with a luxury interior and a cool air conditioned room.
Staff were friendly and helpful however I ordered room service at 20:30 and nothing arrived! Not the best service when paying almost £300 for one night.

Excellent stay, with good breakfast. The room was VERY clean and the front desk & room service team were kind and happy to help with questions.

Concierge was okay. Didn't utilize assistance much, and information available regarding our stay was limited.

Bonus points for bathroom cleanliness! Bathrooms were very nice!

My room was very nice and clean, with a large bed. The location was ideal as it was within a 5 minute walk from an underground station. However, the lifts were very slow and it seemed only 2 were running at a time. This meant that I had to wait up to 10 minutes for one to arrive. The staff in the dining area were very professional and attentive. The breakfast was your standard continental buffet with a variety of options. The staff on the door failed to acknowledge me whenever I arrived or left the hotel (I stayed for 4 nights...). It would have been nice to have been welcomed on arrival.

As you enter the lobby it appears to be quite nice, but it's a very dated hotel which is long past it's best days. There's a distinct smell of mould in the rooms and corridors, I noticed this had permeated our clothes by the second day, so much so that all of the clothes need to be washed. The location is good and a short walk from the station, after that it's all down hill. We were charged an additional 50 quid for checking in (noon) before 2pm. The acid test is always would I stay there again or recommend this Hotel to a friend, no never.

The lobby was incredible, staff super friendly and the rooms were just perfect. Shower was very good too and a lot of towels! Only personal issue was nuts open in the bar, I know this is standard but as someone with a severe nut allergy meant I had to just go back to my room and let my friend's hang out downstairs. But not really a deal breaker for me but sucked a little bit .

Nice hotel. But housekeeping was a letdown.

We stayed in London for a family event and we had stopped here before but not as a family. The hotel was extended in the 60s or 70s and had seen better days in some areas.

This is sadly where things fall apart. Housekeeping was abysmal as we asked them to clean our room. They didn’t due to their policy. You have to ask for your room to be cleaned. For a prestigious hotel you would expect them to clean the rooms regularly but clearly not the case. The amenities weren’t given to us and our bathroom. The climate control was also a bit noisy.

Overall, it’s a decent hotel but the rooms and housekeeping should be improved.
